this may or may not be an unpopular opinion: I love the fact that rory and jess don't end up together. Their relationship is somewhat like a greek tragedy. And if it were any other way I probably wouldn't like it as much.

no, seriously you don't understand the depth of my obsession with them. these people are emo, sarcastic, either or both of them hate everyone else except their significant other, socially outcast/ anti-social, will stand up for their partner when no one else will, match each other's freaks and also 3/4 of these ships are doomed by the narrative.

remember that right after rory and jess have their first kiss at sookie's wedding, jess starts to say something but rory cuts him off and runs away?
