Is it too late to admit I haven't seen a single episode of TFP?
You haven’t? My goodness, I highly recommend it! The entire collection is no longer available on Netflix (but it USED to be!) so you’ll have to find other means to be able to view it. I started writing ‘Stop Me’ immediately after watching the movie (for a second, painful time :C) so that’s how I intended it to be read, as the events begin right after the ending of the canon show.
You’re not the first person who has admitted this to me, you know. I wonder how much more differently my work reads to someone who hasn’t seen the show?
