It's not that surprising we are (yet again) seeing the fake woke side of the fandom. I'm honestly confused how people's activism is summed up to making celebrities "accountable" because they're "directly involved" in problematic issues, e.g. Jungkook will sing at the FIFA in Qatar.

This argument of our moral crusaders on twt is hypocritical at best. They're threatening to boycott because of the country's political climate and how JK's performance is inadvertently contributing to some propaganda- but the thing is it can be said for every country they've ever performed in. SK itself is largely homophobic and misogynistic and let's not start on what atrocities the You Ess has done in history + current human rights issues and yet where was the outrage when they performed in these countries? Nada.

Anyway this shit happens over and over, people wanting them to save the world and being disappointed because they didn't act the way these people wanted them to.
