This is how my sketches usually look like, when I'm preparing to finish it digitally - they're messy, all covered in pencil dirt and generally awful. I'm sorry if I disappointed you. I decided to upload it since I don't know when I'm going to have time to color it and I've got a big need of writing down the story (so that I don't forget - my memory is playing tricks on me lately!). Here you have a glimpse of Kii, the princess of the Burning Blood Pride in assistance of her two cousins, Bahia (the "grumpy" one in the background) and Furaha (the lioness with fringe). The scene happens a few days after Kii's father's Wolfram death. The green-eyes princess is the only one to figure out it was a murder attempted by Valdir, leader of a neighboring pride, that manages to take over the Burned Woods. Here Kii tells her friends about her discovering and about her and Zakia's plot against the new enemy. They can't just sit and watch, as their home is being taken over and destroyed. Actions must be taken.
...and here you have another one. This one is more specific - it's a concept for Masala, Zakia (my OC) and Akili's (Korrida's OC) daughter, Wolfram's sister. She will be owned by Korrida, I only came up with the design.

I drew Ruki over the night but left the shading for today. I really liked it. And quess what? I opened the file this morning and was like "WTF what is this piece of shit?!". Well, I think I'll never leave anything for the next day ;___;
My buddy @hawkclash inspired me to draw some of our old* characters - Zakia and her Akili. There is a lot of story behind these two figures and their prides, hopefully it can be fully developed some day. *Old - it’s a redraw of a picture I did nearly TEN YEARS AGO.

Aaaand here is the last couple - Asaya and Hazel (son of Johari and Gorgen). He must have said something stupid... No worries - this series might be over, but I still need to draw some characters from the Pride. Ruki needs a partner, Kii needs a redesign, maybe Asaya and Hazel's cubs need some new portrayal, too...

As you can see, I'm on my drawing spree (sry) Kii's new design, updated and more accurate. Now resembling her beloved grandmother much more :)
Oh, and I updated Burning Blood's family tree - now on FamilyEcho. It's easier to keep it up to date this way.
Johari and Asaya's daughters cubs ...Furaha and Bahia, with the latter being female before, but I love big fluffy lions, so there he is!
ey Ruki is a big fluffy handsome guy and he needs a big fluffy pretty girlfriend THERE SHE IS!!! I named her Barbora, but it might be changed, because it's weird to have a lion named Barb (BARB LAHEY?!?!??!). Eitherway, she comes from the same pride as Asaya. The tribe broke down after their leader's death, fell upon hard times and living in a harsh chilly climate doesn't make things easier. Because their pride had an alliance with the Burning Blood, they were more than welcome to join them. And so she and Ruki met. First friends, then a bit platonic, beautiful love. Both were definitely mature when they met (50 years in human age) and knew definitely what they wanted in a relationship - a stable, deep friendship, a trustful and helpful companion. And a lot of big, fluffy cuddles.
Nakato
An old character of mine, freshly recycled, good as new. First recycled for a Polish Lion King role-play, but as of 20.01.2024 he is part of the Burning Blood Pride as Kii's mate. I used him in another rp in 2012, that's what he looked like back then (beware, old scribbles):

I'm getting old, and I need something to rely on So, tell me when you're gonna let me in I'm getting tired, and I need somewhere to begin" ~Keane, Somewhere only we know Ruki&Barbora aka big fluffy lion with his big fluffy girlfriend Ruki's life wasn't easy - born in a pride with an abusive, cruel father/leader, he was ordered to fight his brothers to death for his sire's and other reigning males fun. He had to win to live, as the loser was simply left to perish... The black-maned lion pressed on until his twin sister Gorgen had to be executed for insubordination. The two adolescents fled the clan, but on the run their ways parted. They only found each other much later by a total coincidence. And now he was there, a mature adult, main guard and warrior of his pride family, with his sister being his best bro's mate, being a beloved uncle, and now having his soulmate at his side. Things sometimes take time.
Characters from a Polish Lion King RP (Król Lew PBF): Ragir belonging to an old aquitance Dirke, son of Nuka and Dotty My Nakato and Qatila (I don't think her owner is somewhere on the internet) - no, there is no romance between them, but they just got caught in an interesting plot involving a mandrill healer... or rather his ghost.

Redesign for Bahia. This character used to be female before, but I wanted to have another big fluffy lion in the group :D Son of Hazel and Asaya.
...and a completely new character - Sajjmir. He probably won't appear too often, as he is sorta a "connector" between my two fluffy lion ladies - he is Barbora's brother and Asaya's sire. These three come from a pride living in colder weather conditions, probably somewhere further away from the Burning Blood Pride. The food has become too scarce for the big pride, so many members emigrated, or - the more loyal ones - perished. Sajjmir refused to leave his pride for a long time. Barbora and Asaya tried to change his mind many times, but they only succeeded when it was too late - the golden-eyed lion succumbed to illness on the way to Zakia's pride and joined his mate in the Stars.
Forgot to put these doodles here!!! Furaha and Bahia, kids of Asaya and Hazel. Bahia has a two-toned mane now, this picture here is the first try on a redesign for him.
A random girl inspired by an old friend's character from a role-play.
...and Urufu, also a very old role-play character of mine. Small, sarcastic, annoying little s**t, but also the pride's healer.
The mane-y boys <3 Ghali, yes, another role-play character from a small game; leader of the Kiburi Pride and king of the Elephant Graveyard, way before the events from the original movie. Mosi, from an Alternative Universe/What If role play. Born in Scar's pride at the beginning of his reign. Cocky, very self-confident, loyal to his ruler, and a secret admirer of his daughter Roho. Ruki, guard in the Burning Blood Pride. (just noticed their names end with an "I")
