Hey yall!
So Iâve been informed that one of the new goals for the month is reaching out to react channels to watch Dead Boy Detectives as a way to get the word out!
Right now, the two YouTubers weâre being directed to focus on are Alex Myers & Not So Average Fangirl
I havenât seen any suggestions are where to direct your comments but Iâd assume their recent community posts or most recent uploads!
Remember, we want to be polite and send good vibes with all our messages! The last thing we want is to discourage others from watching the showđ
Here are their links :

The fact that Netflix cancelled Dead Boy detectives but is renewing Emily in Paris for a FIFTH season is mind-blowing.
Hey dbda friends!
After finding out about the cancellation, I got my mom to push the payneland pac man earrings to the front of her to do list!
We only have two sets so far but weâre planning to make more along with some necklaces and other non piercing options for people who donât have their ears pierced!đ

LINK if youâd like to see them or help support us by purchasing them!
DBDA FANS & QUEER SHOW CRUSADERS!
Recently, We've all been crushed by the horrible news of 'Dead Boy Detective Agency's Cancellation, and rightfully so! In the server I host, we've come up with a plan to figure out our next steps moving forward and to see if we have a real chance at campaigning for the show! At the moment, we're going to be selecting a user as a representative to reach out to Beth & Steve and ask if there's a real chance for us to be able to campaign or if hope is lost. We'll be sharing the link to the tweet here and in other DBDA servers so we can get it boosted as much as possible. Its the hopes that the retweets and @'s will gain their attention and we can have our questions answered. If our response is silence, we'll be going with plan B which includes having a mass group of people send the same message in hopes that it'll break through some of the noise!
We'd like to add that if this DOES work and we're told that we have a chance at successfully campaigning for DBDA; there will likely be fundraising and other events involved. Please stay tuned for my reblog of this post (which i'll pin to my blog) of the link to the tweet so you can aid us in this effort and join our fight to save this show!
-And a healthy reminder for everyone's sanity; there may *not* be a chance at being able to campaign for the show but this is our first step in finding out!
Remember to keep tagging with #save dead boy detectives
P.S. Even if we donât get all that we hope for; this fandom has created such a warm and fun community with so many amazing creatives and we hope that you all will continue to create and inspire each other with your beautiful works and events!đ
Let's #SaveDeadBoyDetectives!
Hi everyone! Â
As youâve probably already seen on Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram, or even the articles that are already written about how furious the fandom is right now, we are currently trying to fight for Dead Boy Detectives.Â
There is A LOT that we can do to make some noise and so much is already being done that itâs all getting very overwhelming to keep track of. So I've made this masterpost listing all (or at least most of) the things people in the fandom are trying to do right now that you can absolutely help with too! Thank you to everyone whoâs fighting for the show! <3
DO NOT cancel your Netflix subscription in a fit of rage because of this. Netflix does not care about that. Hereâs all the things you can do instead to make some noise to reach the people who worked on the show and hopefully the people at Netflix as well:
Rewatch the show with sound on! You can just connect your headphones and leave it running in the background while doing other stuff.
Interact with the fandom online and share the Hashtags as much as possible! Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram, wherever, spread the message as much as you can. The currently used hashtags are âsave dead boy detectivesâ, âsavedeadboydetectivesâ, ârenew dead boy detectivesâ and ârevive dead boy detectivesâ. Try to boost the hashtags that are already used by the fandom but also feel free to create new ones on top of that or just generally tag the show etc.
We have sent out a tweet to Beth Schwartz asking her if there is any possibility of finding a new home or an alternative way of saving the show - if youâre on twitter, share the tweet by retweeting, quote tweeting, adding hashtags and tagging Beth in it! Hereâs a link to the tweet: https://x.com/papysanzo/status/1829996492247220319
If youâre not on twitter, you can share the tumblr post about it and tag it using the hashtags mentioned above! Hereâs a link to the tumblr post: https://www.tumblr.com/thepopsicle/760364779568300032/the-tweet-is-out-people-were-confused-about-the?source=share
Thereâs a petition for saving the show - sign it and ideally also share it wherever you can! Hereâs the link to the petition: https://chng.it/M8dvDk9BcL
You can fill out the title request form and request Dead Boy Detectives Season 2 three times to let them know we still want it! Hereâs the link to the request form: https://t.co/wkLf2DS06j
You can send (anonymous) asks to Netflixâs Tumblr account as long as theyâre still open! Tell them how much you love the show and that the fandom wants more of it. Please remember to be polite in the message, rudeness wonât get us anywhere. Hereâs the link to Netflixâs Tumblr account: https://www.tumblr.com/netflix
If you want to do more, you can send emails or physical letters to Netflix itself! Please remember to be polite here as well. Â
Hereâs an email address you can write to: [email protected]Â
And here is the address you can send physical letters to: Netflix, Inc. 121 Albright Way Los Gatos, CA 95032, USAÂ
If you have a subscription, you can also sign into the app and follow these steps: 1. In the lower right, tap âmy Netflixâ 2. In the upper right, tap the Menu. 3. Tap âHelpâ. 4. Tap the Call or Chat Button.
We would love to coordinate big watch parties, fandom events and hopefully a big online meetup with as many people as possible! Please feel free to join any DBDA event you see shared online and of course also share the events you know about with others!Â
And last but certainly not least, keep creating, interacting and sharing the love within the fandom! Even if all this effort leads to nothing in the end, we want to make sure the fandom stays active for as long as possible and that everyone involved can have fun and a good time with it despite the awful news we got. So keep the happy and positive fandom posts going as well as the fight for the show! <3 Â
Please donât feel bad if youâre not doing every single thing on this list, but know that every little bit helps.Â
Also, a quick reality check: The chances that Netflix will actually reconsider the cancellation are probably very slim. However, weâre still fighting for any little bit we can get, whether itâs the show being sold to another network, an audio format for season two, some sort of podcast with the cast, getting to read the script, anything. Itâs not impossible to get something out of this, even if it isnât a regular complete second season of the show. We'll keep fighting, even if it's scary, and the odds are bad, and we might die horrifically.
So, on that note - Thanks for reading this ridiculously long post, remember to drink some water, take care of yourself, and have a lovely rest of your day!Â
Hi @netflix and @warnerbrostv! I'd like to talk about the show Supernatural and how its history and legacy can provide some insight on why you should reconsider your decision to end Dead Boy Detectives after one singular season.
Supernatural is undoubtedly one of the most successful television fantasy franchises, but many don't know that it was nearly cancelled after season 2. Thankfully (and luckily) for the network they didn't go through with cancelling the show and by season 4 it was regularly breaking viewership records. A show that was nearly cut short in its prime - much like Dead Boy Detectives - became one of the largest and most recognizable fandoms across social media platforms between the years of 2010 and 2014. The show was so wildly popular that a confession scene between two of its leading characters (Dean and Cas) is STILL used today in a meme format to circulate everything from fandom news to world politics and current events. You can't go to a single comic-con without running into something relating to Supernatural, and ever since its conclusion there has been an opening in the market for a show to take its place.
I can say with absolute certainty that, given the proper time to flourish, Dead Boy Detectives would be the show to fill the spot Supernatural has left behind. It has loads of charm alongside a sensational balance of action, whimsy, heartwrenching character development, and horror. Furthermore it is objectively better with representation than Supernatural was, which is always something embraced in fandom spaces (which are diverse and filled to the brim with queer, neurodivergent, and/or a wide range of people of color).
I also think it's fair to remind you that one of your most popular "Nerd" shows, Stranger Things, is coming to an end after a 10-year-run, leaving behind yet another gap to fill, but this time on your very own platform.
It isn't too late to reconsider the cancellation of Dead Boy Detectives. The fanbase is dedicated and hungry for more, and we know you are currently sitting on finished season 2 scripts, making it impossible for the writers to take this story anywhere else for quite some time. The scripts are there, the cast, crew, and writers love what they do and want to make more... there's simply no reason to not give Dead Boy Detectives the chance it deserves - this time with an entire fandom that wants nothing more than to consume this show, market the hell out of it, and buy merch relating to it (another win for you).

Oh and did I mention that Steve Yockey was a co-producer on Supernatural as well? You know, that wildly popular show I just told you about that lasted 15 seasons. You are sitting on a golden goose; Steve Yockey and Beth Schwartz, among the other talented writers, cast, and crew, know what they're doing.
Give this show its time and market it well and you will have a hit on your hands. Frankly just based on the steady, continual fandom growth since Dead Boy Detectives' release in April and the vocal outrage over its cancellation just in the last 24 hours, I'd argue you already have a hit on your hands that rivals several shows you currently have on your platform.
Dead Boy Detectives has one of the most active fandoms of the year - do the right thing by them and bring Dead Boy Detectives back. It isn't too late!

ATTENTION DEAD BOYS FANDOM:
We have some unfinished business and a case to solve: The Case of the Curious Cancellation! đđ

Here are the ways you can help (be sure to read until the end).
I'm not sure how many people here on Tumblr are also over on DBDA Twitter, but there have been MANY developments in the last 24 hours and it's important for all of us to be on the same page if we're going to have a chance in hell of saving our show.
First and foremost, we need to get Dead Boy Detectives in the Netflix Top 10 again. This means running it as much as possible. Read about that below:

(SOURCE x)
As the graphic says, the goal is to have it running on a loop constantly, as much as you physically can. Be sure to have some level of volume on or else it won't count. If you're on Twitter be sure to post your rewatch (photos of your tv, commentary, etc.) with the hashtag #ReviveDeadBoyDetectives !!!
Also, there's no better time to do this: the Tweet below brings up a great point! đ

(SOURCE x)
Second, and easiest thing: KEEP TALKING ABOUT THE SHOW AND CREATING CONTENT ABOUT THE SHOW. Analysis, fics, fanart, shitposts, gif sets, memes, tik tok videos, so on - do not stop! Reblog other people's stuff and talk about it! Give fics kudos, comment, make fic rec lists and post that WIP or sketch! The most important thing to remember is to TAG YOUR POSTS AND CREATIONS. We need to trend!!! On Tumblr make sure you continue tagging your posts as you probably already are (look at my tags on this post if you need help, and remember not to use "DBD" on here because that is another fandom! We use DBDA here). On Twitter you want to use the hashtag #ReviveDeadBoyDetectives for the rewatch and #SaveDeadBoyDetectives is a popular one, too. You can also use #DeadBoyDetectives. Hell, I usually use all three if I can! Hashtag every post you make about Dead Boys, no matter how annoying or "cringe" you may feel. Flood the fucking tag and do not stop.
Third, everyone needs to sign and keep circulating the petition. We've surpassed 5,000 signatures in a day which is fantastic, but we need more. Get everyone you know to sign it; tell them it takes no more than 15 seconds. Be annoying until they do it just to shut you up.

Fourth, request "Dead Boy Detectives Season 2" through Netflix's support website. It's a small thing but if we all do this a couple times a day it will get their attention. They really do vet these suggestions, and an influx of requests for a canceled show will raise eyebrows.

Lastly, if you decide to write Netflix (via email or a letter - their office address has been floating around) please remember to stay concise and professional. Don't curse at them, don't call names. State that you are disappointed with the cancellation of the show, maybe add an anecdote about what it meant to you, and I would even recommend attaching some articles that emphasize people's displeasure with the platform abandoning shows on a whim and Netflix's flippant attitude toward queer shows in particular. Dead Boy Detective Agency on Twitter has retweeted every article on this topic so far, you can find their page here.

You can also use graphics such as the ones below to affirm that the cancellation was unjust.

I know this feels like a lot: know your limits and take care of yourself. Whether you do every single one of these things or just a few of these things, every llittle bit helps!
Even in the worst case scenario where nothing changes, this gesture will mean so much to everyone who made this show. We owe it to the writers, cast, crew, and each other to TRY. We can all agree that this show deserves at least another season and if Netflix isn't going to do it, they need to be open to selling it to someone who will. We cannot keep allowing them to axe these queer and diverse shows with little regard for their customers and their employees, but also because it sets a harmful standard in the industry that is destroying television.
Let's crack this case and bring our agency back! I truly believe in this community!! đ We can do this!!
If there are any spelling errors or issues with links let me know! I did this on mobile because I want to mobilize this information as quickly as possible! I'll be adding on to this with new developments and can answer any questions you all might have. Lets save our show!
