Y'know, if I'm being honest, I was like, 10 or 12 when I first joined the Fandom (I watched the show before that, but I came to the internet space in that time).

I wasn't what I'd consider a mature ass kid, I recently found out about queer stuff and was excited when I saw it in media.

So, y'know, I also shipped billdip (dw, i never engaged in socializing on the internet until i was 13. My opinions changed a lot within a year, even I'm shocked). mainly because it was a seriously popular ship and was also a queer one. I didn't know what a pdf file even was. Sure, it felt weird, but that is all.

And like you said, people change. Some change much quicker than others, too. Sometimes, it only takes a week to change, other times years. But no one is gonna be the same person they were when they were 10 years ago. Hell, I'm not.

I don't have an opinion on billdip other than the fact that it feels weird (not in a good way) to me.

It's stupid to harass someone over art they did over 10 years ago. Kinda stupid and idiotic if you think about it. Especially if they literally do not condone that now.

This is literally a Twitter mindset.

i’m not asking for anyone’s forgiveness, only their understanding that people can— and do— grow and change and learn

no matter how old you are, in 10 years time you will not be the same person you were, and both you and the world around you will change (hopefully for the better!)

some things never really leave us or even get rekindled later on, like my love for gravity falls and how it inspires me to create (just like any media i enjoy), but the fandom and even the source content for gravity falls is VERY different now compared to 10 years ago! so are my opinions on certain ships.

i’m not going to “leave the fandom” because a stranger on the internet told me to. please just block me if you don’t like seeing my stuff. problem solved! you don’t have to see me and i don’t have to see you.
