watching a kdrama is like - getting excited because she put her head on his shoulder in the 11th episode
the inheritors (the heirs)

i faced my true beauty trauma.
your honour it's not my fault my fictional bad boy slays girlbosses gatekeeps gaslights harder than the main character
the biggest shock of my life was knowing song joon ki is OLDER than lee min ho
what i absolutely hate about (most) kdramas is that the guy always seems to be more into the girl than vice versa. i understand shyness and stereotypes, yk, but it’s so painful seeing the guy making efforts while the girl doesnt even pay him mind until he does it? and there’s countless examples, too
ofc there are exceptions but… annoying
I had some book from the guy who wrote Lord of The Flies, and it was about early humans. It was from the perspective of some neanderthals, and apparently from before we figured out where homo sapiens came from because ho-o-oly shit was there some stuff. Like it repeatedly talked about how these strange Pale beings were so obviously superior to the lowly neanderthals, clearly inherently better. What the fuck.
Tied for the position, I also had one where the protagonist was a young girl who got her consciousness transferred into a chimp brain. Shortly after, humanity killed themselves en masse.
What assigned English class book did you viscerally HATE (the most)? I tried to make it general by some authors since curriculums vary.
Any Charles Dickens book
Any Shakespeare Play
Any Greek Epic
The Great Gatsby
1984
A Scarlet Letter
Lord of the Flies
Frankenstein
Other (if it's farenheit 451, I'll burn you)
I didn't viscerally hate any English class book

21. The Heirs

This show seemed to be very popular so I was kind of saving it? I had high expectations of it because of its popularity and cast.
It has a very predictable and over used trope: rich boy + poor girl = forbidden relationship but I still found it entertaining. The character growth in this show is 👌. This seems to be heavily inspired by gossip girl right down to the characters (even their appearance!)
Overall I enjoyed it, it was funny, cute, sad, everything you could want in this type of show. I felt that the ending was a bit rushed (and a few earlier episodes were repetitive) but still worth the watch. I wish we got to see Tan's mother get her happy ending.
