Din realizing Jedi Luke could protect Grogu better than he could

Din seeing how Grogu is reacting to the Jedi he apparently called out to with The Force

Din seeing how strong a trained Jedi really is; How strong GROGU can be if he were trained

ONE of those Dark Troopers nearly killed him on his way to save Grogu, and Luke is going through dozens of them like piñatas.

I think Grogu’s kidnapping really had an impact on Din’s view of his capacity to protect Grogu. The combination of these things might be why he’s actually more okay will letting Grogu go with Luke. If Grogu can learn to do THIS, His son can better protect himself so the empire wouldn’t even be able to get close to him, let alone hurt him ever again. Grogu can protect himself, especially when Din can’t. (Do I think it would have been a better idea for Grogu to stay with Din, YES. Would that have been the right choice to make given the circumstances… no.) Learning to do what truly is best for your child, seeing that you CAN’T protect them from the universe, and needing to let them go and grow stronger to prepare themselves; It’s a HARD lesson for any parent, but especially a father like Din.
