oh my god what did we do to deserve the old guard?? i never expected to see that kind of casual representation done right in an action movie. being gay isn’t joe and nicky’s entire personality, like they’re not Token Background Characters in there for brownie points - we get to see them function as characters outside of their relationship, but obviously being in love with each other is still a huge part of who they are as people, so we still get joes speech to nicky in the convoy for example which when i tell you i had a BREAKDOWN. the little things, like them sleeping together?? the head bump?? bruv when we say casual representation, THIS IS WHAT WE WANT
