The realization of el dorado

So In the el dorado movie where it is shown that two gods would come to el dorado is incorrect, they were right about to men coming they just weren't gods. Example 1: the statue, it shows two men ( migel and tulio) on a creature of which they ride(al tivo) with a servant girl at their feet (chel). Ex 2: the book, tzekel-kan had a book the showed what would come even predicting he would take matters into his own hands but stops after he meets Cortez showing the end of of his life, back to the statue, in the scene where tzekel-kan attacks the city the statue he had broke in half, this represents that migel and tulio are breaking apart. Ex 3: the city, leading up to the legend of the never seen el dorado it shows that when the gods leave the city no longer exists this symbolizes that Christianity came in and destroyed the religion of the natives. Ex 4: history, in the scene where tzekel- kan is taken away he's the only one who says el dorado is real in history only one man said he saw it and no one believed him. So it adds up two men were supposed to come but were not gods and when they left the city was never seen again and only one man knew of its existence.
