Nalu One-Shot - Baby Please Come Home (Christmas Special!)

Hello again! I've created another one-shot (boy I'm kicking these out) to celebrate the holiday season! Please, take a look if you're willing, and enjoy a little sample below- it's a small one, but the fic sure isn't!

“Thank you, Lucy…” He mumbles and she trembles at the vulnerability of it. Her heart slams into her ribs as he runs his hands up and down her back and in the most selfish part of her mind she revels in his embrace, so overwhelmed by his soft touch and sweet acceptance of her gift.

“Merry Christmas,” She smiles when he pulls away and she’s surprised when he doesn’t let go, their noses only a few inches from each other. She reaches a hand up to stroke the tears off his cheeks, and that seems to break some kind of wall down between them as he leans in closer, a sliver of air separating them. She doesn’t speak, afraid to break the spell on him, too ashamed to admit she wants to eliminate the barrier altogether. She licks her lips, legs quivering when he follows the motion, and a pressure on her chest steals the breath from her lungs- scarcely breathing at the sight of whatever new fire starts to smolder in his eyes.
