it's no coincidence that zoe died staring at the stars. and no doubt did the stars stare back, offering her a warm welcome and a light to guide her home. it's no coincidence that silena also died staring at the stars. a skylight opening and revealing beckendorf, her guiding light home. but this begs the question. as thalia died atop half-blood hill, was she too staring at the stars? did she long for an end, for the sky to open and the stars to welcome her home like she had always read about? and does she now like awake at night, staring at the stars, long for the peace her newfound immortality has now made inattainable? because i never stopped thinking about it.
