I think if they were in World Tour, Peppy would command Branch to follow Poppy, trying to stop her from doing anything that can harm her. As the story goes on, he starts to become restless due to going so long without the Pop String; even trying to steal it while Poppy isn't looking (she stole it from Peppy) so he can try playing it himself so he can be "normal" again

If he were hit by the Ultimate Power Chord, the Rock would overpower the pop string and he would become a rock zombie.
