Toxic arranged marriage AU in which Lewis and Max had to marry due to the FIA being sick and tired of the rivalry and the toxic fans, so they forced them to marry.
Max had to break up with Kelly and also had to delete every chance of contact to them, so that he can focus purely on Lewis, while Lewis had to refer from posting "intimate" pictures/videos.
Both Max and Lewis also had to live together, and with their opposite lives (plus their pets) they were unhappy living together, but played that happy couple for the sake of the sport and their teams.
At the end, Max's completely broken after just three months and wouldn't eat anywhere near Lewis, while the older began being aggressive towards Max.
It's not like they never tried getting along, but after being forced to marry each other, living together and practically giving up their once normal life for the sake of status and image, they just break.
This breaks my brain, because I can finally put so much angst onto Max with how he feels (but also with Lewis) while they're married! I might take it up on myself to write that shit down
