They can't define women either. Woman is, like every other word, defined by how we use it. By understanding. By agreement. Ask any transphobe to define a woman, their default may be "anyone with a vagina" or "adult human female" as the terfs say. Both of these comepletely ignore the large percentage of the population that are intersex, but also require more definitions! Define a vagina. Define a female. Define an adult. Define a human. I bet you can't, not without referring to something else you also need to define.
A woman is whoever calls themself a woman, because if a woman is anything else, then nothing is a woman (which perhaps may be better, in the long run!)
i think that all the people who argue about gender by saying "the woke left cant even define a woman" need to get hit with the "who are you" question by a buddhist monk. no, thats your name, who are you. no thats your profession, who are YOU. no you fucking idiot thats your species, who are YOUU. dumb bitch u cant even define yourself
don't wanna immediately get into drama or anything about the ask I sent strange (who was really nice about it, btw, I really appreciated her answer and the way she handled the topic) but the comments really show the failures of agab language. like if you want to talk about misogyny exclusively with "afab", you're including trans mena and excluding trans women from your idea of a woman, that's transphobia it's so simple
like I've taken my twitter circles understanding of basic trans feminist theory for granted because some people have the idea that trans men are still sorta women and trans women are still sorta men but use agab language to sound progressive about it

the thing that sucks most about Joanne Rowling being a terf is that she is actively hurting real life trans people every day.
the second worst thing about joanne being a terf is that the Harry Potter intellectual property is So Much Larger than her. look at the credits for just one of the harry potter movies. every single one of those people put YEARS of time and effort and dare i say love into those films. think of all the people involved in theme park design and operation who put together the wizarding world park lands and detailed them so lovingly and fully
and yet even though the intellectual property of harry potter is so much larger than joanne, she's poisoned the whole well

This is more of a fair warning to those who gets offended by this. Note that I know he’s a Transfemale and I’m not denying that, neither am I converting him into a cis nor am I trying to sound trans/homophobic to anyone.
I... I’m just honestly not comfortable on not using how characters canonically views him as. And I don’t think he even minds that much. I just don’t feel like taking fictional characters that seriously as most people do...
