What if the reason Ambrosius touching Ballistars hand/arm was his way of silently accepting that he was the one that hurt Ballistar, i.e taking responsibility for his pain. And reassuring Ballistar that he still loves him, even if Ballistar hates that he might be seen as a monster because of his arm. Basically saying that he still loves him if he doesn't love himself.
(sorry if this doesn't make much sense but this was a thought that I had 😅)
