Since the first explosion I could not stop thinking about you. I promised myself to do my best to get out of this situation safely, but I could't ignore the cries for help. 

I tried to be selfish, to think only of myself. But it was impossible. You would do the same. So I did it for you, for me. For them.  

They were scared. 

There was fire and smoke after every explosion. 

Don't leave me, don't let me go. 

I don't remember how many times I left that makeshift shelter. I went out in search of more people, I didn't want to leave anyone behind. 

I went out again. I had to be sure no one was at risk. I could not forgive myself if someone lost their life. I checked again one by one the rooms where I was able to enter. Screaming for a sign. 

It was getting harder and harder to breathe, the smoke burned in my lungs with every breath. But I couldn't stop, not now, not yet. 

My vision was getting dimmer and dimmer because of the dust and smoke mixed in the atmosphere. In certain areas I was beginning to feel a hellish heat, caused by the fire left by each explosion. Large chunks of concrete were falling everywhere, this would not last much longer. 

I stopped for a moment, just to take a look around me. And I was afraid. For the first time since the disaster started, I was scared. Afraid of leaving you alone, afraid of never seeing you again. 

I'm sure you're worried. I have to find a way out. It could take hours for the rescuers to reach us. 

I decided to go back to check on the others, when I felt a strong jolt. I stopped again and inspected my surroundings, everything looked normal, as far as I could tell. One step, that was all; one step and I felt a great weight on me. 

Everything went black.  

I needed to see your face, I needed to look into your eyes. I would like to be next to you, because when I look into your eyes everything seems better.        

I feel like breathing my last breath. Don't worry because everything will be alright.  I only have one life and I want to live it with you. 

I know you feel fear baby, I feel the same way. 

I sink deeper into this immense darkness. I begin to forget the way you used to look at me. I put my heart in your hands, I give you my soul to take care of. Could you forgive me for my mistakes, please! I am so grateful for the time we spent together.

I am alone in your room waiting for your call to come soon. 

I feel lonely, Soobin has left some time ago, I had no words to comfort him, neither could I ask him to take care of me at this time.

I feel this fear is consuming me, still no news, where are you? The house feels different, it feels empty. No one dares to smile.  I haven't been able to sleep, I can't eat, I can only cry.

Should I try to sleep? Is this a cruel nightmare? I don't know what to do anymore, I'm not aware of the time that goes by, it seems like it's been years.

I feel I've lost the life that filled me, I've run out of joy, what will we do without you? Nothing will be the same.

I lay down on the bed again, hugging one of your pillows tightly. It has your scent, it feels like you are here with me. I wish someone would come and give me comforting words. I need someone to tell me that you're okay, that you are alive.

"It has been 36 hours since the building collapse. Relief and rescue efforts have yet to find any of the people who were reported trapped."

Thousands of memories cross my mind, the day we met, our first kiss, our first date.

So many good times, I close my eyes and picture you here, You're standing right in front of me, with that beautiful smile narrowing your eyes, but suddenly you fade away, a constant reminder of how close I am to losing you.

"48 hours of searching, people start to lose hope."

The whole time I was conscious at times.

I couldn't do anything, it hurt to breathe so I couldn't even try to make any movement.

I opened my eyes and visualized the horror in which I was trapped. I forced myself to close my eyes again.

I couldn't look at that, I couldn't look at the place I was in.

I refused to observe what separated me from you.

An immense peace took over my being.

I no longer felt pain, I no longer felt fear, I opened my eyes once again, there was no ruins, no fire. A beautiful blue sky stretched into the distance, I was outside, I was free.

But only my soul managed to escape.

I failed you, I failed to keep my promise to come back to you.

My love, I am sorry.

But please don't forget that I will always take care of you. You and the guys.

Watching the distance of that valley, the panorama changed.

Everything went black and uncontrollable crying flooded the air.

I'm standing outside the mess. When did I get here? How did I get out?

I look around me and there is a lot of movement. Rescue crews are coming and going.

An immense pain invaded my whole body, I need someone to help me.

Somebody please help me. But everyone keeps passing me by, what's going on?

Finally a paramedic seems to address me and I bend down to greet him.

—Excuse me...— No, that's not true. How is that even possible? I looked down taking a look at my body. Everything looks normal but he... He just passed through me.

He went through me.

This really can't be happening.

Desperately I kept looking around, looking for a sign, looking for something that would tell me this was a nightmare. But nothing happened.

And nothing was going to happen.

When I had enough of you, when I felt that my heart was filled again with your essence, when it was time to leave the boys made me promise to come back, to visit them as much as I could, that as much as I wanted to, I would not leave them alone and aside.

Kai came up from behind everyone and with tears in his eyes he caught me in a sweet hug and with his words he made me feel the affection of a universe. I couldn't fail him, I wasn't going to leave them.

you’ve widened your eyes at the boy’s sudden confession, now afraid to peel them away from the sky dancing above you.

you’re afraid you might miss the rearrangement of the clouds that were always unnoticeable, even if it were just a mere second away. or maybe the bold change of colors in the sky that, were too, unnoticeable. you wanted to worry about missing anything but the slim chances of first love, even when yours has been— quite literally— standing before you your entire life.

you seem not to notice a lot of things.

laying down on the picnic blanket, you plan to close your eyes and pretend you've drifted off to sleep until you actually do, except in the far corner of your eye was a poor hueningkai staring back at you expectantly. “y/n?”

“he- hey! look at the clouds,” you managed to utter out, breath unsteady, “would you look at that. you like the color, don't you?”

“huening,” you whined back in mimicry of his desperate tone. “but the clouds are moving. look at them. they-”

“y/n.” having had enough, hueningkai propped himself on his elbow to tilt your face upwards, blocking your view from the sky with his own face and brown tufts that slightly tickled your forehead. the tips of your noses brushed and you swore that if you two weren’t so close face-to-face then he would’ve easily made fun of how deepening red your cheeks were. “i like the color, but i don't love it.”

“but... but the clouds... they're...” you sighed in defeat, and the both of you knew that it wasn’t about the clouds anymore. “i'm... i'm… moving.”

kai smiled. “yeah, i know.” and swiftly, he's planted a kiss on your forehead before laying back down with a content shrug. “i'll wait.”

you’ve widened your eyes once again as you drummed your fingers onto the very spot that his lips have dared to touch. hueningkai chuckled at your expression and finally spared a glance at the sky. the clouds were moving. like a flock of sheep chasing in thrilled desperation for a place to call home. guided by its most beautiful imperfection of waves in slate blue, the flock was split into an endless count of row after row after row… were the clouds pink? they seem to have a peach hue kissed by the sun, almost. but you were right, he could get used to a color like this.

“you know i always will.” he murmured, slipping his hand into yours as a fit that was meant to be. your fingers intertwined and you unknowingly tightened your grip onto his.

the brunette male sighed tiredly at your clingy antics for the twentieth time now. you’ve been clinging onto him all day and he just wants to eat his steamy hot ramen in peace.

but he can’t lie when he says you looked absolutely adorable right now, the way you were clinging onto his arm like a baby sloth and giving him a pouting baby face was just too endearing, he had to turn away to hide his smile. unfortunately for the hawaiian though, you saw his little smile and started teasing him.

“awwww is my little hyuka smiliiiing~?” you cooed in a playful manner while he sighed and chuckled before slapping your arm lightly

“shut up,” he said while still giggling a bit. smiling to yourself knowing you broke his resolve, you then got up from your spot and pulled him up from his chair, dragging him to the living room so you guys can play some games together.

after a bit of walking, you and the curly haired boy sat on the couch, nintendo lite switch’s in hand and the two do you scrolling through the different games to figure out what to play.

“what about splatoon?” you suggested while looking at huening kai.

“nahhhh i played that just two days ago. what about animal crossing?” he added on after answering your question.

“oh yeah animal crossing! i need to give my island a new look anyways, let’s play that,” you said

“if you visit my island again with that mario outfit i’m committing a felony,” he said in a playful bitter tone, getting sudden flashbacks to when you kept following him with the poorly made mario outfit you customized.

“i’m not making promises, hyukaaa~”

“you’re gonna be the death of me, y/n,”

the two of you guys spent time playing animal crossing for at least an hour now, you have been focusing on decorating your island while kai was just looking for some rare villagers, right now he was on the hunt for julien the horse.

you two have been messing around with isabella and making her sing songs (totally not throwing in some bts here and there) while also just collecting some stuff.

the two of you were in the middle of bickering who has the better island until two more people walked in, and more specifically they were two strawberry-pink and blond haired males that you were familiar with. you smiled and waved at them.

“hi yeonjun and taehyun, how are you guys?” you asked in a sweet tone, making kai slightly gawk at you considering you were just pinching his shoulder earlier.

“we are doing fine, i see the two of you are playing something together, huh?” yeonjun said while sitting on your side on the couch, as taehyun sat on kai’s side.

“yep! we are playing animal crossing!” you piped up while decorating your house, yeonjun looked over your shoulder and was impressed by the sight of your village and island. it’s vibe was calm and collecting, and the little furry and chibi-like villagers that roamed around added onto the homey aesthetic as well.

taehyun left the room for a moment before grabbing two nintendo lite switches, handing one of them to yeonjun. kai looked at him in question, seeing his baffled face, taehyun spoke up.

“we are gonna play with you guys, it’s always fun playing animal crossing with more people right?” taehyun said while starting up his game, yeonjun doing the same too.

“ahhh yeah you’re right, plus i was getting tired of y/n anyways,” kai snickered which resulted in you punching his shoulder and the older males laughing.

“shut up hyuka! you’re worse than me!” you exclaimed while kai just kept laughing.

“alright the two of you, calm down now. i wanna see who will find raymond first,” yeonjun challenged the three of you, and smirks lit up on your guy’s faces.

“oh it’s so on,” taehyun said in the same challenging tone. and just like that, all of you had a competition to see who can find the fancy siamese cat first.
