Ubuyashiki X Reader - Tumblr Posts
Hello :D Uh may I request for Kagaya reacting to child reader (reader's his son) wanting to be a demon slayer when he's older?
Weak Body, strong Mind
Kagaya x Son Reader
Ok so i know that the Ubuyashiki family curse affects all the children born, so the reader will be sickly/weak, as far as i understand. as always i hope you enjoy it, and thank you for your request

Kagaya was a loving father to say the least. There was never a day in you life where you didn't feel loved. He was always calkm and seemingly knew everything, and if he didn't he still somehow answered all of your strange question. For someone who was destined to die at a very young age, you had a lot of energy and were overly positiv. Even when you had a bad day, you somehow always saw the good part of it, be it new knowledge or a new person you met.
Now you were still pretty young and didn't fully understand what was going on in the world around you, you knew that you were weaker than other kids your age, it was obviouse, with how you were short on breath after running for the shortest amount of time. But even with this obstical of having aweak body you never lost motivation to do what all the kids did.
The one thing that always help you stay motivated was the slayers that would somtimes visit your dads estate. They were so strong and trained nearly every day, you truly admired them and their strength and you enjoyed the time when they woudl"play" with you. Which mostly meant them carying you around, you clinging to their back as they ran or them showing of their amazing swordskills.
You never really expressed your desire to become a slayer, yuo knew you sick body probably coulnd't keep up with the hard training, but you never knew to what extend the curse actually affected your body. One day you decided to let your father know, that you wanted to become a demon slayer. He had a smile on his face, even though he knew you could never become one. The fire that burned in your eyes told him everything. He calmly explained that while your admiration for the slayer was wonderful, your body could never withstand the hardship that came with being one.
So maybe instead of become a slayer, you should find a way to suppored them and be their pillar they can lean on. Of course being told you couldn't be a slayer amde you a little sad, but imagining working with the slayers and being someone they all can count made you feel giddy and you couldn't stop the smile from grwoing on your face. You quickly escused yourself and practically ran out of the estate to announce to all the salyers that were present, that when you were older you would be their greatest helper and be there for all of them.
It warmed their heart knowing that, while your original dream couldn't come true, you didn't give up and still had so much motivation and admiration for them, to support them no matter how.
