undyne undertale is just. she’s such a multifaceted and well-written character like there is just so much to her. i love her energy, and the way she’s so passionate about everything she loves, that she cooks like she’s fighting a battle and looks up to anime sword ladies. i love her quiet side, how she enjoys tea and plays piano, and how she likes relaxing behind waterfalls and just thinking by herself. i love how serious she can be, when it comes to her job and protecting monsters from humans. i love her incredible compassion, the way she cares so deeply about monsterkind that she would do and risk anything for them, even sacrificing herself to save a kid she doesn’t even know. i love her incredible determination, how even when defeated she refuses to die and fights back twice as hard to save the underground in an amazing display of heroism. i love that she’s butch and a lesbian and is always true to herself, and that she loves alphys with everything she has and the way that she literally saved alphys’ life just by being there for her. i love her big toothy smiles and her fish wallpaper and the giant sword in her kitchen and her cool jacket that she wears to meet alphys for their date. i LOVE undyne and she’ll always be my favourite.
