to all of the people who say “dallas winston wouldn’t have a soft spot for kids” and “you’re mischaracterizing him, he literally beat up children” i offer you that pony is just really fucking gullible. in my brain, dally was telling the gang a story about some kid sassing him and jokingly says “so i punched him” and before he can even vaguely clarify that it was a joke pony interrupts like “REALLY!?!” and he just looks at pony and sarcastically goes “yeah kid, i spent my afternoon beating on some children” and pony just starts writing it in his notebook. i refuse to believe he is a reliable narrator lmao
