I was watching Love mechanics and i thought that they have colors or not than i remedies you maybe you can help me on this...
Anon, VeeMark are one of my favorite pairs, so I only saw a gay and his big red flag when I watched Love Mechanics

but Love Mechanics did have some light color-coding. Emphasis on LIGHT! *wink*

So maybe you guessed Mark and Vee's colors as Mark being a Blue Boy (stable, loyal, intelligent) and Vee being a Red Rascal (spontaneous, energetic, and passionate), but if you didn't, that's okay because it was difficult to tell from their clothes since they were practically in love with each other from the beginning.

But what really did the heavy-lifting in this show and consistently reinforced their colors was the lighting.

Mark's lighting was blue while Vee's was red. And it happened often.

The very first episode when they had sex

When they were fighting in the beach hotel

When they had to take pictures together

Oh, and in case you think that was just the lighting, this was the "same" lighting with Ploy and Vee's picture versus Mark and Vee's

When Vee was trying to win back Mark his lighting was blue and when Mark wanted Vee back his lighting was red

When they wanted to stay with each other (both of these are in Mark's room), the lighting was there reinforcing the story.

So even though they wore their respective colors

And exchanged them because of love

Even when Mark wore his signature blue to meet Vee's parents versus when he wore his Vee's red to let his parents know he wasn't leaving his man

The real MVP of this series was always the lighting department trying to make that Purple Pair happen.

They earned that paycheck.

I'm just gonna take a moment and rewrite how I wish Love Mechanics had gone starting at episode 7 because, well, that's where I'm at watching it for free and thus where I'm at..
And now let us embark on... What If?
Imagine if Vee had approached Mark with his apology, Mark rejected him, Vee gets into the motorcycle crash... but he's actually hurt. He says the same thing about wanting to die, he's taken in the ambulance and...
Then we cut to Mark. And we follow him around. We see him meeting up with his friends, see the other engineering folks around but never Vee.
Mark asks about Vee and no one knows because everyone left him after he 'cheated' on Mark. Literally no one knows. Not a single person can tell him anything about Vee except that they haven't seen him and don't want to...
Except Ploy.
And Mark, reluctantly, angrily, asks her about Vee because he hasn't seen them together either and Ploy, confused and shocked, tells him exactly what happened that night and admits she hasn't seen Vee either.
Now, Mark is suddenly scared. He just found out that the reason he rejected and broke both his own heart and Vee's heart was because of a misunderstanding and Vee is just straight up missing in action.
He ends up in the office asking about Vee from a professor which is where he finds out that Vee had to request time off after a motorcycle accident and Mark just... cannot handle that.
He rushes to tell Yeewha and Bar and Nuea what happened and they find out the truth about the Ploy kiss from him and they all rush, together, to find Vee at home and they find a mess.
Vee's drunk, he's an absolute mess and depression and hopeless with a broken leg and a broken heart and he blocks them all out. He locks the door, refuses to answer the phone, they only get in because of his very worried family.
And the rest of the show is Mark and friends and even Ploy working together to pull Vee out of this and prove that he's still worthy of love and that, yes, he's done wrong before and he was trying to do better and that he deserves a chance to do better.
Mark becomes the pursuer, Mark becomes the healer, Vee becomes the one to be loved, Vee becomes the one who needs Mark to find him and help him put himself back together.
Honestly, the idea of Vee forcefully pursuing Mark without explaining what happened and just turning this into him smiling and grinning through all of it while Mark struggles more is... less interesting to me than Vee's pain.

This isn't about Mark (or Nuea).
This is about Ploy. This is about Ploy being with Ton. This about Ploy getting a new cell phone from Ton. This is about Ploy riding around in Ton's car. This about Ploy going to restaurants with Ton. This is about Ploy getting everything she wants from Ton. This is about Ploy picking rich Ton over poor Vee. This is about Ploy tapping into Vee's biggest insecurity.

Because no matter what Vee does, he can only afford one single rose, not a bouquet.

Didn't you go with Nuea? Why do I have to go with him? Anyone would want that. Being in the air-conditioned car, with a kind driver, and he's also caring. He's definitely your type.
Even its condition is not as good as Nuea's.
And Mark knows that. He knows this isn't about him. He knows that this is all about Ploy, but he thinks it's because Vee still loves Ploy.

That's why he doesn't immediately rise to meet Vee's anger. He thinks this is his punishment for loving someone who is already taken.

That's why Nuea's speech bothered them

This is about Ploy.
Please talk to me about love mechanics.. I like it better than the original of course but it still feels so rushed to me. I’ve been rewatching the directors cut at 2x speed cause I’m not huge on rewatching but it helps a little but I’m so confused by Vee :/ like he refused to break up with his gf after he cheated, then she cheated, then she asked for a break and then he told his brother he’s waiting to say ily cause he wants a 100% clarity. That boy gives me a headache, it’s like he wants his cake and eat it too. When he was still with Ploy he kept asking if Mark was his and followed him around like a lost puppy. I fucking adore Mark btw, he’s so sassy and self destructive. I low key wanted him to give Nuea a chance just to show Vee he’s a dumbass
Vee wants to make everyone happy and he wants to be sure he's not the direct cause of unhappiness but doing that for everyone everywhere all at once is what causes all his issues.
Vee wants Ploy to be happy and he thinks he makes her happy so he can't change that and he can't risk changing that because if he does, he risks hurting her worse than she'll hurt him.
Also, he doesn't think about himself. He might be in pain but he'd rather be in pain than anyone else.
He loves Mark so much but he just can't break his other ties to the sake of their love because he's much more concerned with everyone's happiness over his own.
The problem is that Vee is the cake and he wants to let everyone have him and eat him and it doesn't matter what happens to him... but by placing himself in that situation, he's hurting everyone around him as well as himself.
Vee wants to be everything to everyone and he simply can't be because that's not how any of this works.
Vee loves Mark like no one else and in a way he never has but he also clings to the memories of Ploy and doesn't want to hurt her and he doesn't want Nuea to touch Mark but he can't bring himself to break up with Ploy.
Vee is a participant in his own life. He's not taking charge. He's huddled in a corner trying desperately to make everyone happy without doing anything because doing anything could mean hurting someone.
Honestly... in a way, I get Vee. He's just caught in this loop of self-sacrifice, trying to make everyone around him happy at his own expense, with his happiness coming in a distant second to everything else everyone else does or wants.
Vee is caught in his own need to make people happy and he doesn't know how to stop.
If there was ever a show I wish would flip the seme/uke dynamic... it's Love Mechanics. I would have loved if the show spent the first half with Vee pursuing Mark, have the misunderstanding about the kiss and the absolute rejection by everyone else and then have Mark find out what really happened and try to approach Vee to at least talk about the misunderstanding only to find out that Vee's still caught in this spiral of depression and then have Mark need to be the one to pull Vee out of himself.
Like, it's not how these shows work (@absolutebl has talked about this at length) but I wish this show had gone ahead and just fucked with us because I really love the idea of Vee breaking completely and Mark having to realize the misunderstanding and go after him to put him back together.
... I always like when misunderstandings get solved by the person who misunderstood rather than the person who was misunderstood.
