Finally got this Gundam that I've waited for years to come out. The stickers are temporary and the only things painted are the dark blue and copper. I had an idea while I was falling asleep one night. What if each each of the ew wing Gundams had a different metal for their crests and accents. My idea was fk have deathscythe copper, wing brass, shenlong gold, sandrock bronze, and I'm not sure what to do for heavy arms.... Anyway this is the first phase of it. The head isn't remotely finished and will be painted.
I forgot how much work it was to build a Gundam 😩
Continuing with Wing Gundam. I think I found a nice white I want. Basically did pre shading with Tamiya Light Grey then went over it with a 35:1 white to blue ratio. Then I did the highlights with just white. Put the water slide decals on a land gave it a flat clear coat.
Got a new thing to make Air brushing the small parts easier
Finished the shading on the head but I'm worried it's not white enough. Might have to give it another coat
Pretty much finished with the white parts on the right side. I'm not happy with the lines on the face 😩
Also, because I didn't seal the brass it got dingey so I have to re do it 😩😩😩
Fucked up the forearm decals too :)

In the final stretch. Gonna paint the leg parts today. The brass parts may take a little longer because more work is required. Lots of time for "curing" and such
Deathscythe is fully painted (just waiting on the water slide decals) but I'm considering painting the scythe with the same colors as the Gundam but not sure how, considering all white with red and blue accents like the buster sheild or having it grey white and blue accents, maybe some copper.
Decided to change it up a little this is 100% painted (maybe not the eyes yet not sure how I wanna paint those) just waiting on the waterslide decals
Now the question remains. Do I still wanna paint the boosters white? 🤔

Wing ver Ka Anime coloring
I had an idea to color the Wing Gundam Ver. Ka like the TV series. The Anime color scheme makes me want to do a gunpla like this. someone buy me an MG wing ver ka 😂

The new Wing project. Pt. 1
I haven’t been into painting frames because I wasn’t a fan. Until I found this color, (alclad 2 steel) which I initially got for Heavyarms yellow parts but I found it too dark. However, On the wing gundam there are quite a few parts to paint the frame color and I didn’t feel like color matching. So now I have to go back and paint all my other gundam a frames 😬
What did I get myself into? 😩
Used alclad 2 gunmetal on the shoulder Vulcans. The color turned out better than expected. I’ll be using this color on Heavyarms Gatling gun.
Trying something new. Noticed on the katoki illustrations the inner parts of the armor are the same color as the frame. I thought that was a logical thing to do so I’m gonna try it and hopefully it turns out well.
Doing my first attempt at seam hiding
Decided to use alclad 2 “jet exhaust” for all the gundam boosters. It’s kind of in between steel (right) and gunmetal (bottom)
Painted the white of the wing. Shaded with Vallejo ivory and highlight with just tamiya white. The boosters are jet exhaust.
Heavyarms build Pt. 1
Saying bye bye to the red but I love the orange I made. So many undertones and adding the clear red to it has such a neat effect.
I was a bit skeptical while painting the limbs but once I put it on with the orange I was so happy! It’s exactly how I wanted it. :} ❤️❤️
The packs on the bottom left are the original color.
The picture doesn’t really do it justice, it’s more of a beige with a hint of green. Maybe when I take “professional” looking photos it will show or when I put it next to the other gundams.
Waiting on some more supplies and paints so this is as far as I can go until I get them in. So I’ll do the decals while I’m waiting. I’m really happy with the results and it’s turning out exactly how I planned it.
Did half the decals and set it in the cabinet with the others for color comparison. Also so our kitty doesn’t get to it. I’m pleased with it.
Swapped hands with my wing gundam. That kit has a lot of issues but I wanted the open hands for wing. Also, painted the chest Gatling guns in alclad 2 gunmetal.
Picked up alclad 2 “white aluminum” to do the pods. Decided to mount all the pod hatches since they don’t need the covers to be on the model.

Heavyarms build pt. 2
I haven’t touched this thing in a week due to the flu. Finally did the leg packs. Still waiting on the Micromesh I ordered so I can finally paint the gold titanium.
Painted the tank and going to do the ammo chain in beige too, the Gatling gun will be interesting
Finally matched the orange, Gatling gun is coming along nicely :)
Finally got all the stuff in for the gold titanium starting to throw that on.
Have to redo one part but otherwise gonna throw some decals on and it should be good

I loved the markings so much on this I actually ordered two sets of water slides. I’m not a fan of the dry transfers or stickers but since this won’t be painted I’m ok with it. I’m planning to get a v dash verka anyway. But I may decal something else up in the future with the spare set. I kinda wanna make it all white
