Welcome October! This is our favorite month of the year, and not just because it's the start of the holidays. Our biggest event of the year is happening on the 15th, and this one will be our best yet. International Independent Video Store Day returns! We'll have huge sales on all merchandise, big raffles, a family cookout, our world-famous Amnesty Day, live music, our photobooth and more! We'll start the festivities off with our biggest sales and our best raffles. All sale DVDs will be just $5, including Disney, foreign language, and Criterion titles. VHS will be just $0.50. TV shows, Blu-rays, and video games will be 50% off, and each type is buy 5, get 1 free! Also enjoy 40% off all other merchandise, including tees at just $9.99! During the afternoon we'll be having ourselves a cookout, with hot dogs and veggies on the barbecue, tons of sides, and all your favorite desserts from The Bakerwoman. $3 full plates! We'll have the photo booth and props out, plus live music from some excellent locals. The more, the merrier! For all you folks with late fees or overdue movies, October 15th is the day you NEED to come in. This is the only day in the whole year we can cut you a deal like this! Bring in all your overdues (or be ready to replace them) and rent or buy a movie or video game to be eligible to have your fees erased or extremely reduced. It just doesn't get better than this, people. Add all this together with our next Cheesy Movie Night on Saturday, 10/22 and our usual Halloween movie marathon and costume contest, and it's really no wonder we love October so much.
