so i was messing about on inspect on the website, and i noticed right about where it said hello there was this one rich text box thing, but i dont think it had anything written on it, so i changed it so you can write whatever
so i wrote hello like it said
but nothing happened
i dunno if anybody else has done this or maybe this doesn't mean anything and it was just there for formatting, or maybe there's something really obvious i missed, and of course ive not taken the other clue things into account, but idk.
this might be something ?? maybe somebody else can figure it out

Sooooo, guess who’s favorite character is going through it rn and definitely knows more about Home and the neighborhood than he lets on?
Anyways, when that whole “Eddie is finally happy” sequence went on, for whatever reason it reminded me of Get Out by Jordan Peele, aaaand I drew this

The Pea
I'm very hung up on the symbolism of this dish, particularly with how it pertains to Eddie and his episode of severe emotional distress.
Eddie was all alone in his post office when we found him. Although he refused to state this outright, it was clear he was feeling excluded and forgotten by his neighbors. We have often seen him pushed to the margins of the community, only sought out for his utility to the others.
Barnaby openly delights in scaring and tormenting him, Howdy overworks him without sparing a second thought to his needs, Julie only calls upon him when she someone who's easy to drag into a game, Sally refuses to address him by name and treats his attempts at social connection with disdain, Wally and Poppy only have fleeting interactions with him, and Frank hides his burgeoning fondness behind a facade of cordial indifference.
The pea is alone, too, isolated on the stark white backdrop of the plate.
"Take care not to place them too close together." Even if there are more "peas" at this party, Eddie sits alone in Home's chair, denied the basic creature comforts of intimacy as he watches the others mingle.
The pea is also a pittance to Eddie. It is presented to him right after Sally's single, small attempt to show him goodwill, which she only bothers to do because it's a holiday.
She still does not address him by his name. The gesture, the pea, and the seat are all mere crumbs – too little, too late for a neglected outsider who struggles to make sense of the lonely, awful torment of his life in this Neighborhood, one which he cannot properly articulate for fear of sounding ungrateful.
Home stares him down from his lonely seat. Its presence is monolithic and ominous, a towering figure that only makes him feel more small and alone.
Is it intruding on his mind on purpose, trying to hurt him? Personally, I don't think so, though it still remains to be seen. His words to Frank at the end are telling, though. "I want to go home."
Whether it means to or not, Home torments him with its very being. It's both the elephant and the room. Eddie is an outsider. Eddie can't remember where he's from. Eddie sleeps in a post office after thanklessly running himself ragged every day. Home is the very reason for this holiday, and Eddie is homeless. It's staring him down because it's a symbol of everything he aches for, but cannot have.
Eddie is the single pea on Home's plate. Take care not to place him too close to anyone else.

Welcome Home Homewarming Update Moodboard™
SPOILERS FOR THE NEW WELCOME HOME UPDATE AGAIN…AGAIN‼️
Soooo what are y’all’s thoughts on the new update? Honestly I loved every single part of it, especially the secrets and all that!
One thing that I kinda wanted to talk about is a theory I have. Just note that this doesn’t have that much evidence to back up, so it’s more of just an idea than a theory.

So👏What I had in mind is that we’ll somewhat follow one of the neighbors as the protagonist for the story of Welcome Home.
Each update so far has had a slight focus on one of the neighbors. Sally had more focus for the Halloween update, and Eddie had more focus in the Homewarming update (or lack-there-of if you wanna put it in technical terms).
Personally, I think we’ll mainly follow Eddie as a sort of protagonist for Welcome Home. He’s most likely the one sending all the letters and envelopes to uncover more about Welcome Home, and with this most recent update, it’s clear that Eddie might know a more about Wally, Home, the rest of the neighborhood, and/or the show Welcome Home.
You could say that Sally might know something about the neighborhood as well because of her scary story back in the Halloween update. Sally’s story May or may not have been fiction within the world of Welcome Home, but there could’ve been some truth hidden within. While I can see your point, it was just a story that Sally whipped up for her party. Eddie seems to have the most ties to Wally and Home lore-wise

So I had some people feeling sorry for Eddie in my previous comic (about a silly scenario where he had to deliver all those Wally Makeship plushies), so I figured I'd fix it here for the Barnaby ones!

Also a bonus, because I think Howdy would absolutely make his nephews deliver them
I mean, he made them work during Homewarming for crying out loud!

Hello!! I've updated my Ko-fi with a few meager items as well as posted an update on our status!
As I've said before, I'm sorry I have not been so talkative! So much has happened again and my head is very intent on delivering the work so many have supported me for! For everyone else working alongside me too! Thank you for being so patient and allowing me that breathing room!
If you've read the post linked above, you will know the website will go down officially tomorrow and we will say goodbye! Out with the old, in with the new- New years talk, et cetera! I will not return in February beyond our last preview and the website's return on March 1st!
How exciting- I'm not sure if folks are looking at this house still, but I'm content regardless to think someone is out there waiting too. I hope the change I've gone through will make these updates easier and more frequent, I love Welcome Home more than anything. But thank you for your support! I hope to talk to you in March!!
