One of the greatest sets of American studio/craft furniture, by Wendell Castle. This desk and chair, made of Vermilion wood, is certainly a tour de force by America's preeminent wood worker. Owned by a family in Rochester, NY, this desk and chair are new to the market, having been in a single family's possession since purchasing it from Wendell Castle in 1965. The set will be presented at The Winter Antique Show, January 25- February 3.
