there is something in me

something that makes me wonder

who even am I?

it tears me apart

claws at my insides

because when I look in the mirror

there is a different person staring back at me

as there was two years ago.

she was calm and cool

I am nothing

nothing but a complex chaos

an animal dying to be set free

its cries for help do not go unseen

but I cannot let it escape

i cannot let other people see

who I have become

this pathetic excuse for a being

this unstable, broken, fragile mess

no one ever truly sees

the wilderness within
