Reminder that Will has a lot of trauma to work through that isn’t to do with Mike: the UD, being possessed and feeling violated by the Mind Flayer, feeling as though his childhood was stolen, years of bullying and abuse, his own internalised homophobia (he literally said he feels like a mistake)… the list is long. I hope all these aspects are given the space and care they deserve. Obviously his feelings for Mike are entwined with this, and the supernatural aspects operate as a metaphor, but Will also has many other things to work through. I personally feel as though Vecna will tempt him to the Dark Side ™️, but Will understands that his love makes him stronger, it doesn’t weaken him, despite everything he’s gone through.
