You Dont Speak For Someone Else's Community - Tumblr Posts

Why do people who are not part of specific communities think it's ok to speak for them and say what is and isn't offensive to them and even for people with disabilities like autism adha anything. You do not get to speak for something you are not apart of. If you are not autistic, black, part of the lgbt community you do not get to speak for any of them. You cannot tell me what is and isn't offensive to me a black person when you are a white person. (Also this goes for all races not just black people). And this goes for genders too. But I wrote this bc one time my brother was watching an 'am I the a-hole' TikTok. And it was something about LGBTQ+ and it was offensive. So I was saying yes that person is the a-hole' because that is super offensive. And he told me no it's not. My brother is straight and cis. I am Bi(preference for women) and am gender neutral . And it's like I'm trying to explain how it is offensive and he keeps saying that it's not (not in a rude way) and I was also telling him that he is not part of the LGBTQ+ community so he does not have the right to tell me what is offensive to the LGBTQ+ community. I also said no offense but if you do say something then no one is going to listen to your opinion because you're not part of our community.
