They should give us a Astrid Series instead of the fucking Nine Realms.

Give Justice to the Queen of this Franchise, DreamWorks! She deserve it💕

Well, I think  the Astrids from HTTYD1 and HTTYD2 are different. Are you the exact same person you were five years ago? I’m definitely not. No one is. I think the dynamism that her character shows between the two films  is exactly the kind of growth that we all go through, especially in the years between adolescence and adulthood, which is what Astrid just experienced. Often times, those are our most formative years in terms of personality. 

By the time HTTYD2 rolls around, Berk has been at peace for the past few years. All is well between dragons and vikings, so there’s just no need for anyone really to be aggressive at this time of their lives. Astrid is a shieldmaiden and warrior, yes, but she is many other things, too. She has a soft and caring side. She’s brave and fearless at times, and she’s scared for the safety of her loved ones during other times. She squeals at baby dragons. She’ll go to the ends of the earth to protect what she holds dear, especially Hiccup and Toothless. She knows how much they mean to each other, because she too has a dragon she grew to befriend and love. She changed because Hiccup showed her there was a way other than violence. He showed her compassion and how to feel for things that aren’t human, that knowing the dragons’ true nature deserved to be shared with the rest of the Viking world. She grew to share Hiccup’s vision of peace between dragons and Vikings, and grew to love him as well. 

Love changes people, too. She’s giddy when we see her on Itchy Armpit with Hiccup, smiling and laughing and looking at him like that. You know that look. That look you give to the one who’s undoubtedly your sun and stars.

They both adore each other, and she’s so at ease when he’s around; she shows her compassionate side much more clearly now that she lets her heart rule her head, instead of the other way around, as she once did.

And yet she’s still assertive. She tells Hiccup that what he’s looking for is within himself. She point-blank lists the things she’ll do to help Hiccup once he’s become Chief, before he even wanted to be one himself, like take Toothless out on flights. She’s already taking the role of Lady Chief, hehe.

And as for messing up, she’s not the only character to do so. Hiccup messed up by trusting Drago enough to try and negotiate, even though he was a man incapable of mercy or abandon, and Stoick ended up killed as a result (though the fault is all Drago’s, I’m not blaming Hiccup or anything). Valka messed up. Stoick messed up. Nobody’s perfect, and none of their initial plans worked out. So I don’t think it’s a gender trope here. 

I really do hope she does take more independent roles, in both the future movie and in RTTE. She’s a great character, I think, and she’s proven herself to be a capable heroine on many occasions. She’s wise in her own way, she always seems to know what to say to get Hiccup thinking, and she’s definitely a boss ass bitch. She deserves more recognition and attention as a person without tying Hiccup into the equation. 

I want more Astrid, DreamWorks. Y’all are a progressive company, so I’m sure you can make it happen. Give me more of her dynamism and her perfection and her flaws, too. Give me more of her strength and her softness. She can be all of these things and more, because she’s a person.

I just need moar. 

Great Fanfic But sad, But as someone who trys really hard to write good Stories, when you get your readers emotional, than you Know, you‘ve done it right.

Me too, its One of my least Favorite But its funny to think about this Happen between, because I‘m Now watching this Episode. And I wished This Mr. Boyfriend Dialouge would have been in This Episode, would fit perfect.

What did Snotlout say to Astrid in “Snotlout’s Angels”? I couldn’t help myself here, I had to write up a little “What if they hadn’t been whispering” drabble. ;)

Death Wish

“What did you say to her?” Hiccup asked, peering out the door towards Astrid’s hut, where all sorts of profanity spilled and the sounds of crashing pottery emanated. 

“It was all because of her stupid axe!” Snotlout howled, head in his hands. 

“You mean the axe that Hiccup made her four years ago? You mean the axe she’s cherished for those four years? The axe that has her NAME CARVED ON TO IT?” Tuffnut repeated in clarification. “You do know she’s kept that thing close to her for like- forever, right?”

“Yes! But… I mean, it’s just a stupid axe.” Snotlout whined and dragged his hand down his face, staring at them in fear. “I probably should’ve just kept my big mouth shut.”

“What did you say, Snotlout.” Hiccup demanded, arms crossed and eyebrow raised. 

Snotlout gulped and slumped against Hookfang, the teen appearing drained. “I just sorta… asked if she was pmsing…” 

Everyone stared at him in complete shock, the twins jaws dropping to the floor and Hiccup’s face paling.   

“Do you have a death wish?” Ruffnut whispered in disbelief. 

Tuffnut nodded, moving his hands to cover Chicken’s ears. “You do not mention such things in an argument with a woman.” he hissed, eyes flicking to Ruffnut. “I should know, I live with one.”

Hiccup turned and glanced out the door again, wincing as a mace came flying out the doorway of her hut. “Eh, Snotlout… I’d say that was- not the smartest thing to do-”

“You think!?” He moaned. “She’s gonna kill me!”

“What is she doing? I haven’t heard Astrid use so much language since Tuff and I painted Snoggletog trees on Stormfly’s spikes.”

Hiccup bit his lip, flinching when Astrid tossed what looked to be a spikey canonball out the door, sending the metal piece crashing through the wood of the Edge’s walk way.

“Snotlout, I think that you should… um, maybe run. Yeah, running sounds like a good idea.” He suggested, turning back around to his cousin. “Flying would be even better.”

“Why must she be so touchy?” Snotlout grumbled, “Me asking a simple question should not earn me a pyre!”

“You asked if she was on her period, Snot.” Hiccup growled. “Heck, if I was her, I’d be strangling you.”

Snotlout glared in return, crossing his arms over his chest. “Well Mr. Boyfriend, why don’t you go and calm down your girlfriend so I can escape unwelcome death.”

“You dug yourself into this grave-”

“Oh, would you two children, please stop.” Ruff rolled her eyes, hands on her hips. “I hear her coming, Snotty. I’d suggest you get your pathetic butt moving.”

Snotlout’s eyes widened in fear at the sound of Astrid’s voice getting nearer and nearer. Without  hesitation or delay, he swung himself up onto Hookfang’s back and took off for the darkening sky, leaving the other’s to the Hofferson’s wrath.

Hiccup sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, before spinning around and exiting the stables. “Gang, I’d suggest you stay here.” He called behind him.

No one objected. Not even the twins. Nobody wanted to deal with Astrid when she was this angry.

“Lemme teach that sponge eating munge bucket a lesson!” Astrid shrieked. “Do you know what he said to me? DO YOU!?”

Hiccup’s quiet voice was mumbled.

“AND YOU JUST LET HIM FLY AWAY!? STORMFLY! HICCUP- PUT ME DOWN!”

The twins peered out of the door, giggling at the sight of Hiccup having Astrid slung over his shoulder, Hofferson twisting and spewing rambled insults, as he carted her back to the clubhouse. Army-carry style. 

My overrall thoughts on T9R

I Never thought that I get a tantrum from a TV-Show who some how „should conncet“ to my Favorite Franchise of all the time. That is the Greatest Movie-Trilogy of all time, has an poweful, emotional Story behind it, breathteaking and stunning Animation, a Beautiful Soundtrack and complexe, funny, releateble Characters with Great Voice-Actors.

And some how this Show managed it to destroy the Main Character of the OG Franchise. Which is my Favorite Protagonist of all Movies. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third would never Go Back to the hidden World, would Never lock up a Dragon because he loves Dragons and knows he has a responsel for Berk. His entire speech in the end of the third Movie was about, That there Are places were humans shouldn‘t Go because they would destroy it. And By the way fuck Tom that he feed Hiccups leg to a Dragon. He doesn’t deserve the Name Haddock, Not only for that, also he is a fucking Idiot who never Learns. His Dragon is really stupid too, he doesn’t understand that the needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few, ergo he doesn’t deserve being the Alpha in the end of the series. This Fuckboy and his Cow doesn’t earn anything in this Show. He should be the descandant of One of the Villains in the Movies, maybe Grimmel. And it would make the Show better. His love intrest Jun is a totally bitch, there is no other word to describe her. D‘Angelo, I have no Idea what I should think about him. The only two Good Characteres Are Alex, who is the Queen of this entire Show and is unlike the other Characters intelligent and releatable. Eugene, Fun Character I like him, he shouldn‘t be Juns Brother. He is way to good for her and he reminds Me a little bit of Kenji from Camp Createous, which I personally really like but Kenji has the better design and is better written.

And I‘m really happy That This Show had come Finally to an end, which is the Best thing ever happen in this Show, except for Alex & Eugene. In My opinion this Show is Not Canon because what it does to the Original. Yeah, they’ve been some good Ideas Here and there But its Not an exucese to damage the whole Story of our beloved Hiccup and replace him and Toothless with two Motherfuckers like Tom and Thunder. I‘m honest I don‘t trust DreamWorks in Relation to the Httyd-Franchise anymore. What the hell are they doing with the Canon? It would be better if Dean DeBlois were in carge of the Franchise he created.
