He Just Idly Braided Enkidu's Hair, Both Fascinated By Its Length As He Always Was With Longer Hair,
He just idly braided Enkidu's hair, both fascinated by its length as he always was with longer hair, as well as just curious to see how the other might look. He had not done such a thing in a very long time, so it did make him feel a bit nostalgic. Just a bit, though.

Cross legged contentment as fingers weave through hair. All to agreeable, the sure actions of the pharaoh an added benefit ( messy, clean — both accepted, uncaring of tangles ). Soft, pleased hum towards the others gentle motions. A quiet afternoon in the presence of one trusted. Amazing how the loudest voices can contain the most sincere actions. A smile of their own gracing their face; hands braiding a gift in kind ( golden flowers sprouting around their position, an offering for one deserving ). Words unnecessary in companionable silence. Waves of grass placed in a simple pattern, wayward strands draped across both ( bleeding into the ground ). Enjoyment — quiet laughter — as they turn to face the other. Carefully placing the flowers on his head with a smile all too bright. The kindest kings are those who deserve a crown.

This place was rife with royalty. Visages abounding from all walks of time. Enkidu knew royalty, prestige above all. They had the same basic air about them ( easy to spot ) of purpose. Grass falling in waves, fingers tangled in their own hair. Brushing it free of their eyes. Forests depths solid gaze looking upon her. ❝ I do not believe we have met. ❞

UGH, HE COULD TELL that Enkidu was enjoying his fidgeting, the other’s gaze and body language that of one who saw an animal in its natural environment and now wished to examine their behavior. It was enough to make him cease his gentle thumping against his chair, a slight pout almost present though he did his best to keep some kind of regality in the presence of his fellow Servant. ❝…Play a game, you say?❞ There was a pause as if Ozymandias was thinking about it; however, in actuality, he did not want to give a ‘yes’ too quickly, lest he further amuse the Lancer.
❝Very well. I will accept this. What kind of games did you often play with Gilgamesh? I imagine he had moments where he was quite bored and you had to find a means to drag his attention elsewhere.❞ Did Enkidu ever grow bored? It was so hard to read him sometimes. Not because he purposely made himself this way. Simply because the nature of his thoughts often escaped most.
Where others were boisterous, Enkidu was soft smiles and careful words. Verbal cues misleading with eyes all too clever. They were instinct and understanding ( a knowledge innate, gifted purpose ). To see the pharaoh pouting --- incessant movement --- was enough to keep them entertained. But then again, they were content to watch grass grow. Chin propped on hand, head tilted ( curious ). They did not judge, no need for such things, but they were sure to not cause unintended harm. Words were powerful weapons; wielded without much through by many. It was only in good fun if both parties found such choices comical.

❝ Gilgamesh is one of constant movement, he knew what he wanted and when he wanted it. My king is not one who sought other’s opinions but more so demanded their attention. I can certainly drag his attention elsewhere, but games played with him were not of the sort I think you will find most amusing. ❞ A thoughtful noise, a cheshire grin. ❝ I’m sure Master has a deck of cards somewhere. I have recently learned how to play spit --- a terribly fast paced game. Do you care to try ?? I cannot guarantee you will win. If you do not find that to your tastes I hear there’s a game called “I Spy” where we try to guess what the other has found. ❞

casual reminder Enki is a divine construct formed by the gods out of clay and they do not have a gender ( in fate canon ) nor do they care about gender. they will not correct you because ?? they could care less but my nonbinary ass gets a bit peeve at the erasure of such things. ic they do not mind assumptions ( it happens ) but ooc I do rip

since I recently watched prillya of all things ( kill me ) I just want to say if any of that content is to be believed in any context to be full on canon without giving me a headache over its existence, then Enki is a sentient noble phantasm and that is both !!! and hurts me a bit because if all they wanted was to not leave Gil to his solitude then I guess living on eternally as Gil’s noble phantasm does the trick

RAIN WAS A RARITY to him, a sight that often left himfeeling comforted as he would watch it fall upon the ground. Just the smellalone that came with it was enough to make him want to close his eyes anddisappear into his thoughts. Lifting his hand, he moved it from under theprotection of leaves so he could allow the rain to fall upon his hand, cool andsmooth like silk as it slipped from fingertips to moist soil. ❝It isa shame that nature is not like it should be in this modern era.❞ ThisSingularity was beautiful to him with its luscious green fields and forests;earthy smells so different from his Egypt drifting across his nose. Taking adeep breath as if to take it all in, he tilted his head back against the tree he and Enkidu restedunder, the rustling of leaves almost akin to a lullaby to him as water bounced off each one.
❝I never had a chance to enjoy things like this. Rain wasso rare to see, and with time, it became impossible for me to leave the palace as I did as a boy.It was…stifling at times constantly being indoors, and I desired much more freedom. Just as birds could spread their wings and fly, I too wished for this.❞ How odd it was that words slipped from his lips likewater when he was around Enkidu. Perhaps it was just because he felt comfortedby their presence that made this so, or maybe it was just because theyunderstood him in a way that some would not that aided in this. After all, theyhad seen into the very soul of Gilgamesh, saw past his tyrannical image enoughto grow to care for him so much, that they forever left a mark upon the king’sheart in a way no other ever could (justas Nefertari and Moses would always be in his). He did not have to look at the other Servant to know they werelistening, to know they were smiling.
He could simply feel it.
❝I suppose I should thank you for staying outside with me despiteit being very much unnecessary. It is not as if I asked for you to do so…but thereare times that even I grow weary of being alone.❞ An admittance that he would give noother but this being — this being who made flowers bloom as if they were oldfriends, who made the grass sing as if they were speaking to one another, andwho listened to birds as if their words were for them alone.
Only they would hear these words.
