There are now saved slots, so you are able to save your progress, and I have changed that you will now not have a set personality, but now you are going to be building your personality, which will affect certain situations. Please, if you find any mistakes in coding or grammar, please message me via Tumblr to fix the problem. I want to make this the best possible interactive fiction and story that I can, so I will be very grateful for your help. I also have changed some names around so if you see a few things different then do not fret to much or just feel free to ask about it.

Seven years ago, you had uprooted your life after graduating and made a big move — away from everything and everyone you knew — to settle in the quiet city of Assay together with your partner. Things hadn't been easy, but the two of you made it work together. Not too long ago, everything had seemed to be coming together on the grand stage of life.

Until you had woken up one day with superpowers.

Contrary to popular belief, obtaining superpowers did not magically make everything better — in fact, it had made things worse. After multiple setbacks, your life is starting to feel more like a sitcom whose audience has packed up and gone home. One out of five stars. Would not recommend. And the only one still left watching is you.

Still, life goes on in your tiny studio apartment. Start a full time job again, strike up relationships with new co-workers and neighbours, and beat up a villain or two to keep the city safe. Oh, and perhaps find some love along the way too.

Ronan Foster [m/f] — 34

The life of a vigilante comes with its fair share of scrapes and bruises and broken bones. Although their bedside manner has much room for improvement, there is no one better for mending your injuries than the "Good" Doctor — a loner surgeon with the Midas hands who's willing to keep your identity a secret. As long as you can cough up, of course. Now, if only they would be willing to lower those exorbitant medical fees, just a little...

Li Lin [m/f] — 24

The tenant who has just moved into the apartment beside yours. Well mannered and mildly reclusive, you don't know much about them aside from these facts: that they are studying to be a software engineer, they moved to Assay to take care of their grandparents, and they make a mean bowl of chilli oil wontons. Still, with the way that every appliance in their apartment seems intent on breaking down at the most inopportune moments, it seems like you'll have no choice but to help your new neighbour out...

Hayden/Hayley Dayvis [m/f] — 31

A sharp, hard-headed police lieutenant who is determined to rein in the chaos happening in Assay City — and that includes bringing a certain spandex-ed vigilante to justice. Unfortunate, considering that they were also once your best friend, college sweetheart and life partner all rolled into one. But all that changed two years ago with a messy separation worthy of a TS hit song. It almost feels as though they can't stand the very sight of you now. Can that spark between the two of you be rekindled once again?

Scott/Stelle Barnes [m/f] — 33

Your colleague at your newest job whom you share desks with. Easily flustered but cheerful and warm-hearted, S is quick to make you feel welcome in the office. While they're an ordinary office worker with an ordinary 9 to 5 job, their admiration for your vigilante identity is just a little over the top. With you regularly running from your computer to take extended "bathroom breaks", will S catch on to your real identity?

Mc finds a meteorite rock and immediately goes to find some weapon smith if they could try to make mc a weapon. (Thinking about the book eragons sword)

Omg I immediately thought about Blue Eye Samurai Did you see it? It was SO GOOD. But so sad... also Mizu heavily reminds me of cold/intimidating MCs... a complete horror, a menace to everyone in their path

Thank you so much! I am doing well! I do hope you enjoy it. I do hope that chapter three isn't too short; it is longer than any other chapter in My Inner Sins, but either way, I hope you and everyone else enjoy the story.

💛 Marcel

Marcel looked at the beautiful bouquet of daffodils that you handed him. 

The man in front of you smiled, and for only a second, you thought you saw his eyes tear up, which made you panic until he glanced back at you with a bright smile.

"They are beautiful....." Marcel grabbed one of the flowers and placed it behind your ear. "Thank you, $Name; I will make sure to repay you for this gift." 

He held out his hand, which you took, making your skin warm all over as he led you down the street towards the boutique. 

No matter what you said or did, you came back with a handful of flowers, chocolates, and an ecstatic Marcel, who made sure you didn't stay out too late and walked you home.

🧡 Margaret

Margaret was a buddle of nerves as she took the bouquet of bright marigolds. "I-thank you so much, $Name." Margaret said softly as she looked at you with shiny eyes, When your eyes met, her blush became more radiant.

You noticed her tapping foot as she started spitting out facts about flowers. As she hid herself behind the flowers, she made a sound like a squeak when her words started to jumble together.

"M-M-Marigold flowers are edible. Whether u-used fresh, dried, or infused into v—various beverages, m-marigolds have a-a-a multitude of uses in the kitchen."

You let her ramble on as you both walked down the street; eventually, she took your hand and gave you a nervous smile when you squeezed it back in reassurance.

♥️ Owen

"What the bloody hell are these?" Owen wrinkled his nose at the roses that you presented him with.

"Uh…flowers.."

Owen rolled his eyes. "Well, no shit lass/duck/lad, I am more confused. Why the hell are ye giving them to me."

You started to explain what Valentine's Day was and noticed how his face changed from surprised to uncomfortable. "Listen luv as much as I appreciate the gift; this holiday sounds stupid as hell."

You tried not to let your disappointment show; however, you knew that Owen caught the look as he groaned, seeming to fight with himself. "Food."

"What?" You were surprised as Owen put his arm around you, leading you down the street. "Lets go get dinner."

It would turn out that the red roses were forgotten on the table at the restaurant, but you both were caught up in the night of good food and drinks that Owen paid for. On more than one occasion, you saw Owen's eyes on you with a look that made your heart race.

💙 Rosemary

Rosemary smirked at you as she took the orchids. "Oh, dollface/handsome/angelface, aren't you just the berries?"

You rubbed the back of your neck. "Well....yeah, I thought you deserved something on this special day." 

"I always deserve something special, hun, and don't you forget it." She winked, her shoulders a little tense as she walked towards you, seductively. "I suppose you also deserve a little token of my affection." She purred, and while her tone was light and flirty, it made you frown, and the easiness didn't quite reach her eyes. 

You took a step back. "You don't have to give me....uh..any token. These were a gift." 

Rosemary looked at the flowers and back at you with a raised eyebrow. "Really? No strings attached?" 

"Of course, Rosemary, I want you to feel comfortable." Rosemary must have seen something in your eyes because her own immediately widened in surprise as she really took the flowers in, her gaze softening. 

"Thank you, $Name." 

🩵 Tai

Tai stared at the blue lilies, his face a bright red against his pale cheeks as he stuttered. "I-you-what-"

You gave the man in front of you a small smile. "It's to show that I care about you."

Tai didn't give you any more emotion as he turned around and shut the door to his office in a hurry, leaving you swallowing disappointment and cursing at the flowers in your hand. You started to turn around to leave the clinic, but Tai came out of his office, holding a brown paper bag and some water.

"Here." Tai said in a tone you didn't recognize as he took the flowers from your hands and sat them carefully on the desk before practically throwing you the weighted brown paper bag and water, not even wincing as you almost dropped it.

"What the hell, Tai?"

Tai just rolled his eyes at your tone. "It's sweet and sour pork with two spring rolls. It was my lunch for today, but since you got me these-" Tai looked at the flowers, his eyes softening a little, but his tone was curt as always. "gift. You can have my lunch; I hadn't prepared anything, and I am not one to participate in this commercial holiday, but you still deserv- expect something in return, yes?"

You looked down at the paper bag, and there were indeed containers of food inside. "I can't just steal your lunch, Tai; these flowers are a present."

The young doctor just pushed you out of his office. "Oh, please, you need it anyway, Oleander, with how much junk food you probably consume."

You started to argue, but like always, Tai just toned you out until you left. You actually did end up eating the food, which was delicious. Your mouth was still watering even as you dropped off the tupperware the next day, and you smiled when you saw the blue lilies presented on his desk in a crystal vase.

💚 Zane

Zane hissed. "Why are you giving me these?" He looked down at the tulips, like they were poison. 

"They are to show that I care about you." 

Zane's eyes narrowed, and for a second, you swore you saw something other than distrust in his eyes. "I don't need your flowers, Little Lion, but since you went out of your way to give me a sacrifice-" 

"A gift." You corrected, but Zane droned on. "I shall grant you the tolerance of accepting them." 

More than once the next week, you caught Zane staring at the flowers intensely with curiosity and confusion. 

"House of Libra? It's best not to talk about them, lest you wish to end up silenced like how they once were."

House of Libra.

Once the peacekeepers of the kingdom, now reduced to nothing but a lost tale. They were well respected by many for maintaining the balance of the lands, yet betrayed by those who wished for too much.

However, without House Libra keeping the balance alive, the world succumbs to the ire of the Zodiac Aura. A powerful dose of magic pulses through the lands, mutating anyone without protection. But protection can only last so long, and it's only a matter of time before the Aura consumes the lands whole.

Your family remains as one of the only branches of House Libra left alive. Due to the natural essence of your house, your family is less affected by the Zodiac Aura. No matter, as House Libra grows smaller, the world continues to eat itself alive.

It's up to you to restore the peace in the lands, for you were born under the Equinox sky.

House of Libra: Resurgemus is an upcoming interactive fiction inspired by the zodiac signs. You will have the freedom to explore the story and its characters with depth, so questions and various asks are greatly encouraged! This series will be 16+ (TBC), on Twine.

Features:

Play as a male, female or non-binary person. Have the freedom to choose your appearance based on what you like.(Please take note that I am a new writer, as such I do not have much experience with writing non-binary characters/pronouns. Please bear with me!)

Shape your character and personality, should you be kind, cold or a sassy boss, the choice is yours.

Build relationships- or break them if you wish. The choice is yours, but your actions will have consequences.

Have a say in the way your back story is woven. Choose your desired trauma that will affect certain plots of the story.

Choices matter. Your actions and words will influence the ending you achieve, so be wise with how you wish to shape your story.

Romance ranges between the 4 given options, shower them with your own type of affection for they will adore you nonetheless. Or you could lead them to their deaths. Woopsie.

Choose your relationship with your family. Are you a loving family? Or do you constantly need family therapy? Choose their fates as well (but don't kill all of them, that's kinda mean.)

Gain new skills and various powers that will aid you in your journey. But be warned, will they great power comes great responsibility. And a greater chance of messing things up.

Various endings will (hopefully) be available based on your choices.

This IF will be more focused on interactions and choices compared to stats. I don't think I plan on having stats. Maybe a sanity bar, but I'll see how well the coding goes.

Romance Options

Avira/Aurelius Lozenges, [RO]

Age: 26

The eldest child of House Leo, Avira/Aurelius is the epitome of the zodiac's charms. Charismatic, ambitious and loyal to a fault, there's no wonder why they're called by the admirable title of House Leo's Golden Lion. They are expected to take over the ruling throne once their father retires.

Although, with every envied perfect child comes a chamber of secrets, and they are no different. Guarded eye(s) and tense shoulders, they seem constantly restless under judgmental gazes of everyone in the kingdom.

Perhaps, you may be able to give them the freedom they long for. After all, a lion in a castle is still a caged lion.

Castora/Castor Dioscuri, [RO]

Age: 24

The renowned child of House Gemini, they are known for their sharp mouth and playful personality. Castora/Castor remains as the number one It Girl/Guy of the kingdom as they're not only captivating in nature, but they too posses a brilliant mind like no other. Having them on your side would be quite advantageous, no?

There's something off putting about them though, as the House of Gemini have always borne children that are twins no matter how different. Yet, Castora/Castor remains as the only member of House Gemini to be born alone.

Will you dig deeper into their depths? Or will you drown in their eyes, just like everyone else? With them, you are never alone.

Closed off heart that's waiting to be loved

Esme/Esmeray von Aquaria, [RO]

Age: 28

Some people call them cursed.

And to others, they were simply unlucky as a child for straying too far.

Esme/Esmeray is a child of House Aquarius, yet they couldn't despise it enough. Known for being one if the most influential houses due to their unyielding intelligence, a child of House Aquarius must be perfect in the eyes of others.

Yet Esme/Esmeray is the exact opposite of that. Cursed by the effects of Zodiac Aura when they were younger, they carry the mark of the Waxing Moon. This affected their life despite protection given, and they will not rest until they slay the beast that hurt them so.

They have a cold and distant personality, paired with one of the brightest minds in the kingdom only to be rivaled by the child of House Gemini. Will you be the one to thaw this icy heart? Or will you suffocate in the depths of Aquaria?

Romance trope:

Grumpy/sunshine

Cold -> absolute simp

Heated arguments and soft confessions

Nyoka Constello, [RO]

Age: same as player character

The forgotten children of the banished zodiac. Nobody remembers how this House used to flourish as they are now called the Followers of Ophiuchus. Scorned by the lands and cursed by the stars, the last surviving followers live in hiding. Now, they are nothing but tales woven in time.

Well, that's for everyone else. Nyoka just so happens to be your childhood friend, having been born under the same moon and stars aligned. They used to be docile and caring, but times have changed and so have they. Don't fret, little star, for they still have a soft spot for you.

They have an unusual appearance, with a long and sturdy sea-snake tail paired with sharp semi-curved horns. Their dark eyes seem to pull you in, rivaling the stars above.

But the mutation is spreading, and they've no clue how much time they have left. Save them, if you must. Or watch the one you once loved die.

Romance trope:

Angst. Just angst. And maybe fluff.

Childhood friends -> strangers -> lovers

"Perhaps we were soulmates in another life."

Here are some things you need to know:

I am a new writer (this is my first interactive fiction project.) so not everything will be smooth sailing.

I estimate the demo to come out mid this year, but personal matters may change some things.

This is my passion project. Please don't expect me to dedicate all my time onto this as I have a life as well.

I'm very new to coding, so learning twine will take a while. I'll have to do a few test runs before releasing the demo.

I adore feedback and asks about the game. It helps me improve as a writer while getting to build my characters more.

I want to have fun with everyone, so hateful criticism will not be tolerated. Treat me with respect and I will return the gesture.

Also one more thing, instead of just moving on, the screen repeats itself when talking with Mr. A. Which breaks immersion a tad bit.

The part where Margaret walks in happens 3 times. Maybe instead of repeating the text each time, it'll be better to just show the unchosen option or the next button. It's up to you though in the end. 😊
