Each day has four prompts to choose from. You can use either each day’s theme song (One of the Inuyasha Openings or endings) or any of the day’s three assigned songs as prompt to inspire you! You may use the song title as a word prompt or any piece of the lyrics that resonates with you.

If you’re feeling up to the challenge, you can even try to combine several of the day’s possible prompts!

For the final day, we have a free day so anything goes! We also have a playlist roulette for you to play!

We’ve collected all songs used as prompts throughout the week as well as some additional ones into a single playlist. Those who feel up to it can put the playlist on shuffle and see what song they will land on!

Beneath the weeping wisteria

He'd scooped her up without a word, darting through the woods. When she'd felt they were dropping in altitude she grabbed harshly at his haori, shit was this new?

A sound move through his chest as he readjusted his grip across her thighs.

When he finally came to a hault, setting her gently on steady feet, "Kagome."

His eyes refused to leave her, even when a gust of wind caused her eyes to shut. When her eyes snapped open again, dread swam openly across her features, "Oh gods! I messed up your new clothes!" She'd reached forward, only to stop herself abruptly, "Actually, you can probably fix yourself! You're obviously not Shippo!"

When she ebbed away, becoming further a firm hand grabbed her wrist, golden eyes still refusing to leave her.

When another gust of wind nearly had her squeeze her eyes shut again, she felt him press closer at her side. His hair danced wildly in the wind, her own hair mixing in stark contrast as he blocked most of the wind. He gently brushed the mix of hairs away from his face, Finally she noticed, petals.

Quickly she whipped around, wisteria- everywhere. Pushing her unruly hair, she attempted to control it. "You were upset," he spoke finally. Seeing her eyes somber, he continued, "This one brought you flowers."

She smiled finally, "Brought me to them, I think you mean-"

"No," he quipped firmly, "They are yours." When he saw confusion run across her face, he spoke again, "You stated humans bring each other flowers."

She smiled, "Oh! Yeah! Friends bring each other flowers-"

Again he interrupted her, "No."

"No?"

"Correct," he said firmly.

"Well, we're not lovers-"

"Shall we be then," he queried confidently.

The woman was too stunned to speak.

It’s the start of the 3rd Quarter 2022 Inuyasha Fandom Awards!!

We hope everyone has had a great summer so far! A huge shout-out to everyone who participated last quarter and made it such a huge success! We look forward to all of the amazing new fanfiction and fanart to be nominated and shared with this beautiful community!

We want to give a very big thank you to @britonell for always being so generous with her time and talent with creating award banners. (If you have not received your award banner for last quarter, please reach out to one of the mods asap!)

There have been some changes to the categories that may effect you as nominators: 

- To better serve the community, as well as simplify things, we are revamping all of the Romance fanfiction categories, including: Best InuKag Romance, Best Non-InuKag (Canon) Romance, and Best Non-Canon Romance. These will be changed into the following three categories: 

Best InuKag Romance will be defined as: Stories that have developed a believable romance between Inuyasha and Kagome. “Believable” is subjective, and it is up to those nominating/voting to draw their own line on that quantifier and vote their “Best”. This includes canon, canon-divergent, and AU/AR settings. 

Best SessKag Romance will be defined as: Stories that have developed a believable romance between Sesshomaru and Kagome. “Believable” is subjective, and it is up to those nominating/voting to draw their own line on that quantifier and vote their “Best”. This includes canon-divergent and AU/AR settings.

Best Romance will be defined as: Stories that have developed a believable romance between two or more Inuyasha characters, excluding InuKag and SessKag.“Believable” is subjective, and it is up to those nominating/voting to draw their own line on that quantifier and vote their “Best”. This includes canon, canon-divergent and AU/AR settings. If there is a Best LGBTQ+ Romance category, this category will only accept heterosexual pairings.

- In honor of Pride Month, our Roulette category for fanfiction this quarter will be Best LGBTQ+ Romance! This is defined as: Stories that have developed a believable romance/sexual light between two or more LGBTQ+ characters. “Believable” is subjective, and it is up to those nominating/voting to draw their own line on that quantifier and vote their “Best’. This includes canon-divergent and AU/AR settings. 

If it was not mentioned above, chance are it hasn’t changed. Please be aware that the moderators always take suggestions regarding how the awards are run and category changes into consideration, and each quarter may bring about new changes. As nominators, please make sure that each quarter you take a peek at our list of creators who can’t be nominated to make sure you are staying current with who is eligible to be nominated. 

The 3rd Quarter 2022 nomination period will begin July 1st and go until the end of the day July 15th. Please send your nominations through the submit button! If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to send in an ask or reach out to one of the mods!

Kagome is a shrine maiden and her alter ego is a demon slayer to get rid of bad demons

And rin is the child sessh found on the way while plotting his scheme
