Just Noticed Something In Hobies Intro...
just noticed something in hobies intro...
before he enters the scene, this is the messaging broadcast all across his london:
OBEY. DO NOT QUESTION. CONSUME.
on every screen and surface and outlet, thats the message ordered by the government and the media and the system. to conform. to follow orders. to submit. to live and die by the establishment.

then after Hobie enters the scene with his unauthorized political action art pieces and, figuratively and literally, disrupts the narrative, the message, his message, rewrites it all and changes it all to
FREEDOM. JOY. LIVE FREE. LOVE EACH OTHER.

KINDNESS AND FREEDOM is the battlecry and message Hobie brings to his world as Spider-Man.
Kindness is Punk.
kindness and freedom despite everything IS punk. and Hobie destroying the system with that is so fucking powerful and beautiful. he is the embodiment of punk, and its not just an aesthetic. even if he wasnt aesthetically punk, he would still be punk because punk IS his character, it is his values, his morals, his message.
gods i just keep finding more reasons to love Hobie so deeply. he's genuinely one of, if not, the most inspiring character i have ever witnessed in media.

Thinking about Gotham Public Schools again.
You have to wonder if just Gotham generally being Gotham impacts what students learn in school.
Are students taught from a young age how to solve riddles in english class? We always had like warm ups we had to do in english class like a prompt to write about or something. Do Gotham kids have to solve riddles every day to practice?
What about Chemistry class? Do they learn the chemical composition of fear toxin/joker venom/bane venom/etc and how to neutralize or make an antidote? Do they learn how to test water and chemically and biologically filter it to make it drinkable in a pinch? Do they learn how to filter air and make an on the fly gas mask?
Are they taught self defense in PE class? Do they start in kindergarten and is it their longest unit?
Do they learn how to defuse a bomb in engineering class?
Is there a whole unit in biology about Ivy's plants and pollens?
Is half their health class just dedicated to basic first aid? Do they learn more complicated stuff like how to give stitches or fix a bullet wound?
Is criminal psychology or forensic the highest demanded elective at the high school?
Do they learn about the the black market and underground economy in Econ class? Do they talk about the basic monopoly Wayne Enterprises has on Gotham? Do they talk about the historic causes of poverty?
Are they taught about crime lords influence in politics?
Do they learn about vigilantes and rogues in their history class?
Is the "what jobs do your family have" assignment never used because honestly who wants to hear about your uncle or parent or cousin working for Joker or Penguin or Black Mask?
IDK just like what do Gotham students learn that freak out anyone else when they hear it?
Ooo that super cool! Thanks for sending that my way!!!
I really hate when fans say that if Bruce had not taken Jason in then Jason would have died young and homeless. Saying that still makes Jason a prop in Bruce's story.
The other option I see is he would have just become a criminal. Even Bruce himself says that in the UtRH movie. Alfred called says he was dangerous in the comic. But come on, were talking about the kid that stoped a crime ring at his school before he was ever robin. Were talking about the boy who died trying to save the mother who had just betray him. Were talking about the character who's moral compass is as strict as batman him selfs. He wouldn't have just become any old criminal like Willis or any of the Gotham Rogues.
No, you know what he would have done? He still would have become Red Hood. Maybe by a different name because the name Red Hood is tied to the joker but I still think he would be doing the same thing. He'd look at the neighborhood that he grew up in. He's look at the system that repeatedly failed him and his family and he's say "I'm gonna fix it." Because thats really what he's trying to do in UtRH (the comic more than the movie). The system in place in crime ally really isn't the government that gave up on them but the criminal empire. He would see creating his own gang as a way to help his city.
Even without Batman, Jason Todd was destind to be a hero.
Hazbin Hotel Season 2 predictions
Ok so my friend forced me to watch Hazbin Hotel and now i'm hooked. This is what I think/hope(?) happens in season two!
my theory is that because of his deal with Alastor, Husker just straight up can't loose when gambling. So my thought for season two is he gambles Val for Angel's Soul. He wins it but no he's not done yet. He turns around and immediately gambles it for the rest of the souls that Val owns. He wins again. He's still not done. Val is /desperate/ now. Husk uses this to his advantage. He gambles all the souls he just won in exchange for Val's own soul. He wins (This all takes place over the course of a song). Now when Husker was an overlord he dealt in souls so I think it would be poetic if his big redemption moment was setting free all the souls he'd just gambled for, except for Val's. Vals soul he trades Alastor in exchange for being free from their agreement. Alastor, knowing that if he as Val he has power over Vox, takes the deal.
Lilith will come back to hell. At first she will gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss the others, especially Charlie. Charlie eventually realizes that Lilith was actually an abuser and not only the reason she and Lucifer were never close but also why the exterminations happened in the first place. Charlie is feels very betrayed (this is another song).
We know that Alastor sold is soul, I think he made a deal with Lilith. He will then use his deal with Charlie to get out of his Deal with Lilith somehow.
There is another meeting with heaven. It doesn't go well. There is a big verbal fight between Sara/Angel army and Charlie/Vaggie/Lucifer/all the others. In a big defining moment Emily has to make a choice to side with Heaven and stay and angel or side with Hell and fall. Sara is trying to convince her to stay and angle and Lucifer (being The Fallen Angel) is begging her not to fall. He knows what its like please don't do it. Emily makes her choice and Falls (her demon form is badass). This is the turning point that makes a lot of other angles question Heaven. Even better if God is there (I will look God in the eye and walk backwards into hell 😂). All of this takes place during the best song of the season. (bonus: Lucifer sees Emily willingly fall and goes "NEW DAUGHTER!!!" and immediately takes Emily under his wing)
We know that souls that have redeemed themselves go to heaven. I think that also means that Souls that have tainted themselves in heaven end up in Hell. Namely Adam. Fuck that guy.
Cherri Bomb, Carmella and her Daughters will join the hotel. They feel like good candidates for redemption.
While the Vee's are trying to take over Hell, Velvette is playing an even bigger game. After season 1 she knows Alastor can beat Vox and looses faith in them. Vox and Val seem to be keeping their relationship on the down low and we see Velvette taking pictures of them at the end. She blackmails them and takes over their whole empire for herself.
At the end of the season Charlie is given the option to go to heaven (my thought is since Lucifer and Lilith both started out as angels, Charlie is actually also an angel not a demon). She refuses. Her place is in Hell with her people. She takes over as Queen of Hell and Lucifer gets to retire and play with his rubber ducks.
The very teary is end is most of the main characters have redeemed themselves and can go to heaven now. Its bittersweet because they are free and have succeeded but they won't be able to see Charlie either as much or at all once they go. This is the saddest song of the season.

The Batmobile operates on clown car logic. You’d think it would only fit 2-5 people but no. Every bat and bird can, has and will fit in there. No one is sure how and they just stoped questioning it.
