Hi friends! I wanted to share the finished product of this magnum opus sweater of mine (from my other blog, shhhh). The design of the sweater is very much based off of myself, and I spent a lot of time weaving (crocheting, if you will) my interests into the project. Therefore, of course, it has a lot of Redwall inspiration! The bottom cuff is Redwall Abbey inspired, with a little front door with a mouse inside near the buttons. There are also many animals throughout the piece :). There was no question as to whether I’d include Redwall in the sweater, of course. I wanted to share my art here!

The sweater is finished!

56 patches and 6 and a half months later, I finished what I have named my Lofty Goals Sweater on the morning of Sunday, May 12.

This sweater is my baby, I had SUCH a fun time working on her and weaving myself into her. Thank you for everyone's enthusiastic support along the way, and to all the people who complimented me on the street, here (as promised) is the finished product!

Me reading High Rulain for the first time: Wow! There sure are a lot of parallels to Mossflower! I wonder if, like Gingivere, Jeefa will be the moral better compared to his brother Pitru. Can't wait to see how his character develops!

Last Camp NaNoWriMo I worked on a Redwall fanfiction that takes place somewhere between the events of Mattimeo and Pearls of Lutra. Although this wasn’t the original plan the story ended up focusing a lot on Rollo, who is now in his teenage years trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life. He develops a love of illuminated manuscripts that leads to his future life as the Abbey Recorder. Even as a baby in the events of Mattimeo he had an uncanny ability to figure out puzzles and notice things others don’t, perfect traits for the Recorder!
