Caiatl asking Saladin about Eris. Caiatl trusting Saladin's opinion that much. Saladin vouching for Eris. Saladin convincing Caiatl that she can trust Eris.
In shambles.
Young Wolf: You wanna talk about your emotions, Zavala?
Zavala: No.
Crow: I do.
YW: I know, Crow
Crow: I'm sad.
YW: I know, Crow
Could we maybe stop talking about the "Dead Wife Trope," when it's clearly the death of Hakim that really eats away at Zavala? Yes, he misses Safiyah horribly and has trouble letting her go but it's Hakim's death that really eats away at him.
Safiyah presumably died of natural causes after she and Zavala broke up (the fact that they broke up is important, I feel, that's not what usually happens in a fridging).
Hakim's death is important because he was one of, if not The first "warrior," Zavala trained and he died for it. Hakim therefore is the originator and reminder of every Guardian who's fallen under his command. I've seen complaints that Zavala's nightmare should pertain to the Great Disaster and not a "clichéd" lost family. But I would argue that's exactly what Zavala's nightmare is. Zavala's guilt doesn't stem from Safiyah's death. It comes from Hakim's death. He feels he failed Safiyah in not being able to protect their son and, in turn, he feels guilty over every Guardian he's lost under his command.
There are frequent references to Zavala looking upon the Guardians as his children and this latest lore absolutely tracks with that. Zavala is dad. The guardians are his kids. He blames himself for every death.
TL;DR there is so much more to this story than dead wife/fridging and it's insulting to the writers to characterise it as such at this point.

Still thinking that the chances of Crow just accidentally finding out who he was in his past life were like, really high.
