Devrim Kay: Home Ec (Moreso how to teach them how to not make non guardians afraid, weirded out, uncomfortable, etc.) Can talk to him about anything pretty much anything too. Just be prepared to drink a lot of tea!
Eva Levante: Holiday Ec(since Bungie won’t make her the outfitter anymore) Teachs the Guardians what to do on the holidays, what they mean and the history of them. Also sweetest lady there; many just call her grandma. Can talk to her about nearly everything and everyone.
Sloane: How to operate with your fire team and the importance of working together. Also will give rundowns of how to do medium level operations. Another person they can talk to if they need it.
Amanda: Drivers Ed (Teaches them how to pilot ships, Sparrows, Pikes, Tanks, etc. basically anything you drive) Also might teach you how to do tricks on the vehicles. Will talk avidly about the other teachers
Hawthorne and Louis: Club (Clan) overseer and her bird. (Wants everyone to feel included and pushes for everyone to join up in a club they like) Her bird will look you in the eye while she talks so be prepared for that.
Tess Eververse: Student store clerk (Offers a lot of cool stuff and has some neat stories if you ask)
Failsafe: PA system that gives weird, but good advice and has a questionable other side
The Spider: They don’t learn about him till they’re older
Eris Morn: Teaches about all creatures you will have to fight and about creatures in general; going into what theirs weak points, history, and their looks. She’s a bit unearving at first, but it’s all apart of the charm. Also has some weird artifacts and seems to be a little bit depressed but no ones sure.
Banshee-44: Teaches about every weapon type there is. You’ll have to remind him of where he left off though as he is really forgetful, but he’s a good guy
Petra Venj: Teaches then the operations and about the Reef, it’s history, and why they’re uneasy to Guardians, so they won’t be surprised by that. (Many students know she puts on a happier face but is secretly sad)
Lord Shaxx: PE teacher. Runs the kiddy crucible and teaches them all about different fighting types(melee, ranged, swords, etc.). Very loud so you can always tell when he’s coming, and just wants his students to be able to defend themselves if the need arises. Sometimes gets fed up with dealing with them because sometimes they do really dumb things. Cares a lot though, as he helped get the school in to creation
Ikora Rey: If you don’t have a mom, here’s a good stand in. But in reality vice principal that gives good advice and makes you reflect on your actions. Also if you want to know how to be good with a shotgun, go to her. Has a bit of a cold side due to some issues, but will usually snap out of it. Good heart, and can talk with her about many things, including life questions. Will try and be there.
Commander Zavala: If you don’t have a dad, he’s a great filler, although he might be a bit tough on you, only because he wants you to succeed. He’s the principal and the one that tells about strikes or high level missions. Gives good advice and answers any questions that you might have, as long as they are within bounds. Has a good heart, although sometimes it might be a bit hard to see, but don’t worry, he’ll always try and be there.
Cayde-6: Ever wanted a cool uncle that says you can do something when dad says no? Well look no further as you found him. But in reality most involved parent as Ace is in the school and he is a good dad that loves his son. He’s also the ‘leader’ of the PTA, and one of the people who helped make the school a reality. Also teaches math and how to map and follows maps. Will hide stuff so his kids have to find it. Can talk to him about anything and everything, really there are no bounds.

what are your favorite destiny pairings and why
First of all, first anon submission ever. This is great.
Secondly, hope this doesn’t sway anyone from following me, it’s just my preferences, and every ship on this blog will get respect(unless it deals in pedophillia, abuse, incest, or beastiality)
And thirdly they are rare pairs within the community, but it goes:
1.) Lord Shaxx and Lady Efrideet(Shaxxideet I belive): That line from the Titan Sunbreaker quest where Shaxx goes, “I miss those days, I miss… Lady Efrideet” after talking about how she threw Saladin like a javelin into a fallen walker is what got my first interest in it. Then I just started starting thinking about what he said and got to thinking about how he could’ve just stopped at “I miss those days” but he purposely said “I miss Lady Efrideet” so that truly got me invested in it. Now I just think it’s cute because I imagine Efrideet is kind of small(?) and Shaxx is this big ol’ titan and I just think it’s sweet.
2.) Jolyon Till and Uldren Sov: This got started because of the Uldren lore book and reading the Black Garden stuff, and how it sounds like even though Uldren pushed Jolyon away for his obsession to impress his sister, it sounds like Jolyon still cared for him deeply. Also the whole thing where Jolyon brought him in and Uldren didn’t recognize him, but called him handsome when describing him, and I’m not sure if that is common but it’s pretty cute if you think about it.
3.) Ikora and Zavala(My ultra rare pair): This one got started way back in D1 and mostly grew due to all interactions between the two, and a real life example that echoed the two. Honestly too the whole mom and dad thing that kind of orbits around them also grabbed my attention

Headcanons
(This is for Ikora/Zavala, so if you don’t want to read, just keep scrolling)
-No one knows Ikora and Zavala are involved with each other because they give no hints of it at all. Cayde kind of suspected something as Zavala once made a slip up during one of their chess matches, but besides that it’s virtually undectable
-But once they’re able to have a breather alone, they get a bit more touchy if that makes sense. It’ll just be simple little touches here and there if they are in a public space
-On the rare occasions they both are in their private quarters and able to sleep, they do like to cuddle or just be near one another
-Zavala will never say ‘I love you’ aloud, Ikora will but he will not. When does say it, he’ll just squeeze or tap her hand, shoulder, calf, etc.
Also fellow mutuals who like this ship, what do you think about calling it Commander Rey?

1.) Can I just say how much I love this and you, and also I absolutely agree with all of it, so thank you very much
2.) Also I only suggested that one because I could not think of a way to harmonize their names, but honestly that sounds way better, so thanks for that as well.
3.) Just another couple additions:
-Zavala knew Ikora went to see Osiris and helped with the Mercury ordeal. He wasn’t very happy about it, because it’s Osiris and he remembers the last time that happened well you know that story. But anyways, he got worried until she came back
-He never confronted her about it or bothered to ask questions about it, until one really late night when she just started talking about it, which led to some comforting as she still had some mixed feelings about Osiris because that was her dad practically
-If there are issues that bother them, the other won’t push until they start talking about it, no matter the time. Even if they’re really tired, if it’s really bothering or weighing on them, they will talk for however long it takes

I miss the ghost that stopped me on Felwinter Peak to thank me for being his friend and to reflect on our journey together

More Zavala/Ikora Headcanons
(My apologies if it sounds really stupid cheesy)
-How their relationship started was at one of the Dawning celebrations
-The Vanguard was participating in the festivities which included alcohol
-So Ikora and Zavala were drinking near each other and having conversation. Cayde went off somewhere else
-So when they were just sitting there, Zavala accidentally let it slip that he may or may not be attracted to her
-She initially laughed it off because she thought it was the alcohol talking
-But then he got this really serious look on his face and said it again and said he meant it and this was probably the only time he would have the courage to tell her
-And then he got up and tried to walk away because he thought he just ruined something because she didn’t respond but it was just taking her a second to process what he said
-After she realized he had walked off, she went searching for him and found him in the private areas just looking at the sky and she went over to stand by him
-He then started to apologize, but stopped and got startled when she just leaned into him(I imagine he wasn’t wearing his chest piece or pauldrons during this) and whispered the feeling might be mutual
-Then they just stood there in silence for awhile leaning on each other till they were hearing about how they were needed back and such
-And then from then on there they just kept meeting after work and the relationship grew and stuff
-When it got far enough in, they just stopped going to separate quarters and would just join the other in whatever room that night if they got the chance to sleep
Aight, so no lie this is one of the most beautiful and cinematic parallels I have ever come across in a game (And I don’t think it was even intentional)
I can’t even properly explain this(if anyone has a better explanation, please add) but the way Ikora looks at the darkness(the pyramid) and Zavala looks at the light(the Traveler) is just stunning, for lack of a better term.
Like Ikora looks to what we have to attack while Zavala looks to what we have to protect
Also getting real tired of all the hate she and Zavala get. They’re good characters but they never got elaborated on because Cayde was always there. And yeah it sucks he’s gone and stuff but at least now we get to see other characters get used

Indeed. Honestly I’m pretty sure she’s in stage 15 depression, so any love we send her way is good
Even More Zavala/Ikora Headcanons
(Aight so I’m back on my BS about my all time favorite super rare pair. If you don’t want to read just scroll by really fast)
-After they had been together for awhile, Ikora had a special mark and bond commissioned for her and Zavala. At this point they never put any real labels on what they were, they just enjoyed each others company a did couple things
-So Ikora decided to do something about this and commissioned the bond and mark to be made and presented them to him during the first night of Crimson Days (I looked all over to see if it was a Vanguard thing but only those two wear it)
-Let me tell y’all, Zavala’s face had never turned so bright blue before. His eyes got big and wide and essentially he just got the biggest look of surprise on his face
-This is also one of the only times that Ikora was mildly nervous as Zavala hadn’t said anything. He just kept staring at the items before he eventually ran his hands over the mark as his smile broke out into one of the biggest smiles Ikora has ever seen
-She breathed a small sigh of relief, before she got lifted into one of the most bone-crushing bear hugs she will ever receive in her life
-This was also followed by several kisses
-No one ever really figured it out as people thought it was just a Vanguard thing and Cayde just didn’t want to wear it
-This happened to be when Cayde finally figured it out as he’s the only one who caught on. He never told anyone cause what they did was their business and he was just glad that two of his best friends were able to find love and comfort with one another
-When they do eventually tell him, he basically says, “Oh yeah I know. You’re the only ones who wear that symbol, which coincidentally appeared during Crimson Days, and if it was a Vanguard thing then I would have to wear one too.”
-They both are kind of embarrassed but he reassures them that he’s just happy for them and he won’t tell anyone else or talk about it unless they tell him it’s OK
(Also if anyone has a ship name recommendation for these two, feel free to tell me)
Fav characters?
(I’m assuming you want favorite Destiny characters. If this is not the case, just hit me with another ask.)
1. Osiris. It took me a long time to warm up to him, but once I did he jumped to the spot of my favorite Destiny character. I respect his ideas and how he wanted to know more about our enemies even though he became obsessed and got exiled for it. I also liked how in Season of the Dawn, it showed us more to him than that grumpy uncle and I really enjoyed how happy he was when he found out that there was a way to bring back Saint. Best grumpy uncle ever for me. I do wish they would have treated him better in his DLC especially after there was kind of a legend around him back in D1. Like dead*ss, Osiris is regarded as one of the most powerful guardians ever and we rarely got to see him.
2. Variks. He crept in and stole my heart right off the bat. When playing House of Wolves back in D1, I thought he sounded so cool and when I found out Dee Bradley Baker voiced him, I liked him even more. Also what made me like him even more was reading his lorebook in D2. This dude had to endure years of insults directed at him by Awoken, Humans, and guardians alike, yet he never seemed to hesitate to help. Hell, he tried to warn us about the Red Legion and was became upset that he wasn’t able to get the message through. Plus he is trying his best to unite the Eliksni again, despite seeing the majority of his people fall into madness. Now I don’t excuse what he did, but he was being influenced by the Fanatic the same way Uldren was. Overall, I think he is really cool and I am glad he’s coming back, hopefully, we don’t have to kill him though.
3. Zavala and Ikora. These two share the spot as I find both of them amazing characters and I wish Bungie would have used them more instead of relying on Cayde for everything. I admire how strong they have been through literally everything at this point and honestly, they both deserve all the love in the world. They are the strongest leaders I have seen from any game and they deserve so much respect. They also are great mom and dad type characters, because even though they fight, they still can come together to help and assist us and the people. We respect Ikora and Zavala in this house, and if you don’t that’s really not cool ngl.
4. Jolyon Till the Rachis. So he is not in-game, he has only ever appeared or been mentioned in lore, but still, he has become a big favorite of mine. So if you don’t know, he is the creator of the Lord of Wolves, one of his pastimes is taking enemy weapons and remaking them into something to be used by Awoken and guardians. He also has been through so much sh*t at this point yet still remains strong to lead the Crows in Uldren’s absence. He went to the Balck Garden for his best friend(or lover depending on how you see them) and came back with massive trauma from it, including scary *ss nightmares, but he never let that stop him from assisting the Awoken people. He had to watch said best friend(or lover) descend into madness. Then went Uldren went off the deep end, he had to go fetch him and realize that Uldren didn’t even remember him, or any of their time together. This man is so cool and I wish he would show up in-game and hopefully, he makes an appearance or something when Guardian Uldren shows up.
These are the main favs and hopefully, none of them end up dead.

Eyes up, guardian – rest well, Lance Reddick 💔
A tribute to Lance Reddick. It struck me that there was a time where I played Destiny so much, I heard his voice almost every day. It's odd realising how comforting something small like that can be and how many good memories swell up. Rest in Peace… 🫶
Destiny: Three Messages
(I ran a couple polls a while back and the results were "Caiatl/Zavala" and "wedding/ritual.") Torobatl finery: gold and purple, wide metal bands around necks and wrists. Even the antechamber evoked Caiatl’s prized tank, Zavala thought, with the ship’s life support conduits exposed and gilded. Maybe decorating the ship that way had been Calus’ command, an era ago. The gilding did not seem to suit the woman who, when they stepped out of that small antechamber, would soon take him as her husband.
Caiatl turned to him from her own, perhaps similar contemplation of the ship’s wall. When she put her hands on his arms, the digits stretched from shoulder to elbow. “Are you ready?” She asked it firmly but serenely, neither pressuring nor withdrawing. A warrior’s cry to an ally — it was as little or as much as that. The same tone had been with him when she had negotiated for her people, when he and she had walked haunted halls. It was an anchor rope now, stretching from the darkest corridors to the buttery golden light in the anteroom.
He looked her up and down with a tactician’s eye: her pebbled skin, her good boots, the large bronze-and-gold-and-steel knife in her cloth belt. He looked at her with a husband’s eye: her etched and jeweled tusks, her muscled, stanced limbs.
The knife, though.
Zavala folded his arms. “It doesn’t have to be bloody.”
“But the memory sticks if it is.” Caiatl said. She had told him what would happen in the ritual, where the cut was usually made on a Cabal and where it would be made on an Awoken to reduce injury.
“I am concerned about the precedent it sets,” Zavala said. “It is in Guardians’ natures to be easily influenced. I do not wish us to start a cult as well as a dynasty.” They were easily persuaded, his people, if they felt they would benefit. Younger Guardians and older alike became Dredgens or even Shadows because in part of the appeal of a ritual with a reward.
“It will be clear to them the ritual is part of our ways, not theirs. If it is not … you will make it so, commander. Is that not in your nature?”
Yes. The majority would listen to him. The extremists — the ones who would protest the alliance or had already joined the Shadows — would have done so already.
Caiatl stepped back. Her hands fell away. She had looked at him as a tactician about to speak her piece.
Truth was, he could try to predict Guardians all he wanted, but perhaps he was nervous about his own reaction. Once married, holding the memory of Safiyah as beloved and resolved, would he lose his perspective about the Tower when he married Caiatl? He was as afraid of change, afraid of an uncertain future, as anyone.
He shuffled forward. Held her around the waist for a moment, his face in the dry-scaled crook of her elbow. She smelled dusty, but not unpleasantly so, and like the bitter polish on her armor. He let his shoulders relax, molding himself against her.
She lifted his chin with one finger. Cabal held no such taboo as keeping spouses from each other before the wedding. The glint in her eyes and the scrape of her nail against his throat made him consider whether they should.
Whatever happened next, the Guardians would stand by him. Those who scattered were pieces gone from the board. He commanded what was left. He was making the right decision. Walls would not fall on his watch.
He took Caiatl’s hand in both of his as he stepped away from her. The gentle touch and gracious acceptance were all diplomatic, all messages from the tactician. The soft look he gave the crimson jewels dangling from her tusk rings, the pass of his tongue over his lips — all messages from the husband. The uncharacteristic hesitation in her eyes was a message from some third place – from friendship, proven and curious to see what would happen to them both next. She waited to see what he would tell her of his people, and himself through them.
“I look forward to uniting two great domains that share such stubborn natures,” he said, and laughed low when she did.
