For Your Viewing Delight, Some Sketches Of Fancy Pigeons!
For your viewing delight, some sketches of fancy pigeons!
I took my friend Nam to an agricultural show my village hosts annually, at which I magically transform from a serious academic semi-goth to a lunatic in wellies getting excited about sheep. It's genuinely one of my favourite things about the village, they have rare breeds of sheep and pigs and sometimes Dales ponies and there are strange chickens and a pigeon show! There's a produce contest where people show off enormous marrows and a man who demonstrates how to shear sheep and spin wool by hand! And a Tamworth pig with a dozen ginger piglets!
My favourite part is the fancy pigeons. I love the 'blowers' best of all, with their enormous puffy necks. They always look so proud of themselves, strutting around their cages.
Yes, I am a country bumpkin. I've disappointed you all.

I don't really get why we say 'Happy New Year' on the 31st, isn't that like wishing Merry Christmas on the 24th, but NOT on the 25th even if you see people? I'm gonna do it today like a REBEL. Only I never do New Year retrospectives and such, because trying to summarise the whole year sort of compresses it and makes me feel like it didn't really happen and I just slept through it all and that weirds me out you guys.
Instead, lets all have some DISNEY! AW YEAH DISNEY! AW YEAH 2012!
P.S. I might draw you all a comic of the last dream I had in 2011, it was a good one. AW YEAH NEW YEAR!
What kind of school did I go to, that nobody taught me how to make these? I feel so deprived!
I am spending the rest of today writing folding notes to my whole family.
I realised you tumblefolk never saw my first (so far only) attempt at animation! In 1st year we had an animation module, and this was my final piece. I was so pleased with it, I did the whole thing frame-by-frame and largely freehand.
I had to make a new youtube account recently 'cause of google taking over everything and that meaning it turned the email address into a new google account and logging me out of my normal one every time I logged in on youtube and AUGH I HATE THE INTERNET- so it seemed like a good time to share it again.
Also, if I had the time and money I'd genuinely love to do a second degree and train as an animator. I'm a huge animation geek, I'd love to learn how to do it properly even though I'd never use it for anything. Some of my favourite illustrators and comic artists trained in animation, I think I could learn some fascinating things.
I'll add that to my list of things I'd like to do if I won the lottery and lived in a magical land where I ride a unicorn to work every morning, haha.
Why I'm Afraid of Mirrors - Part 2
Today Patience illustrates the second-biggest reason I'm afraid of mirrors. Tomorrow, the thing I fear most in any reflective surface!
Yesterday I was afraid my reflection would move on its own.
Today, I am afraid my reflection will be someone else.
Ironically, I blanked on monster design, so that is basically me Patience is seeing in the window.
