“I can’t believe it's time for exams already,” YangYang complains, leaning his head against a bookshelf. “Although, I feel like I’ve studied enough already.”

Doyoung glances up from the book he is reading, “that’s because you’re normally always asleep for the studying part.”

“Why wouldn’t you wake him up,” Hendery asks, walking over to join them.

“Cuz’ I’m usually napping next to him,” Doyoung laughs.

Kun turns around, placing his back to you, “you idiots, I told you guys to find some books, not make jokes. You won’t be joking around when you don’t have any more time to study.”

“Come on, let’s go over there,” YangYang says, walking towards the opposite side of the library while Hendery and Doyoung follow him.

Kun closes his book and places it back on the shelf, following them, leaving you behind alone. You continue to glance at the shelf, trying to decide what book you need when Donghyuck sneaks up behind you.

“Ahem,” he clears his throat in order to get your attention.

You turn to look at him, unamused bringing a smile to his pretty face. “So do you have a study buddy for the exams?” he asks.

“I do,” you nod, “and a lot of them.”

“What about more than a buddy?” he winks.

“Isn’t that what Yeji is for?” you ask, not being able to refrain from bringing her up again.

“Well,” Donghyuck looks down at his feet. “Yeji usually studies at her friends’ dorm during the exams and I study with Jisung. But I’m pretty sure this year, Jisung will be with at his lover’s dorm…Soooo, I want to be like him.”

You look around to make sure no one was around before asking, “and who’s your lover?”

He closes his eyes to take a deep breath while moving a little closer to you. “Please, Y/N,” he begs with a giant smile on his face. “Let me study in your dorm, with you.”

He places the index finger of each hand on his cheek, pressing the tip into his dimples, attempting to look extra adorable.

“Do you really think that’s going to work on me?” you scoff.

Donghyuck smiles even wider, cocking his head in a cutesy way.

 - . -

Donghyuck and you hide in your dorm for the next few days, studying together. You enjoye the time alone with him. Although, it only seems to make your feelings grow. The more time you spend together the harder you seem to be falling. The only downfall to studying with Donghyuck is you both end up paying more attention to each other than your books.

 - . -

The night before the exam, Donghyuck takes you to a shrine set up on the university grounds by some of the students. He kneels down before it and you follow his lead.

“Are you sure?” you ask.

“I’m positive,” he smiles. “We’ve been screwing around all day, we can’t start studying now. Listen, whoever makes an offering will pass the exam.”

“But, will it really work?” you wonder full of skepticism due to the fact that you never attempted anything so ludacris before.

“Of course,” Donghyuck states. “That’s how I survived my entire third year.”

You exhale slowly, nodding in defeat, “ok.” You watch as he inches closer to the shrine and lights incense sticks, waiting further instructions.

“Donghyuck,” Soojin yells, walking up to the shrine behind the two of you. “Are you two worshiping the shrine of good luck?”

“I just accompanied her here,” he lies.

You quickly turn to see all of Donghyuck’s friends standing next to Soojin. You’re speechless that is trying to throw you under the bus when all of this nonsense has been his idea.

“Just admit it,” soojin sighs, kneeling down next to you. “Everyone comes here.” She scoots over to make room for Jaemin to be able to squeeze in next to you.

Chenle grabs a handful of incense sticks, lights them, and hands everyone a couple. You observe everyone closing their eyes once they recieve their sticks and it looks as though they whisper something to themselves. Not entirely sure of what you’re doing, you decide to imitate their actions, closing your eyes then quickly open them.

Sijoon is the first to open her eyes, leaning forward to place her sticks in the slot on the ground in front of the shrine where other incense sticks are. Then Mark and Chenle both lean forward at the same time, banging their heads into each other.

“Ouch,” Chenle yells, looking at Mark. “Why do you have to be in such a hurry?”

“You were in too much of a rush,” Mark snaps.

“Let me do mine first,” Chenle snaps. “Your ash burnt my freakin hand.”

“Can’t you guys be quiet?” Jisung asks, rolling his eyes.

Donghyuck looks at you sitting perfectly still, “I’ll put your incense over there for you.”

You don’t resist, you hand him your sticks, smiling as you watch him taking care of you.

“Hey Y/N, come here, Jaemin and I want to talk to you about something,” Sijoon says, pulling you away from Donghyuck.

Donghyuck watches, wanting to put a stop to it but fully aware that if he says anything he will expose your secret relationship, which he isn’t ready to do that. He stands up, walking away from the shrine to lean against another tree so can’t see his friends with you. Jisung follows his friend over and leans against the tree as well.

“Hey,” Jisung sighs, nudging Donghyuck with his elbow. “Your eyes were practically popping out of your head.”

“What are you talking about?” Donghyuck huffs.

“I’m just teasing you,” Jisung laughs. “How are things with Yeji?”

“She’s studying with her friends at their dorm so I haven’t really had the chance to see her,” Donghyuck explains.

“I think the faster you talk to her, the better. If you leave things like this for too long, it won’t be good for anyone,” Jisung suggests.

Donghyuck knows his friend is right. He knows he has to handle things properly, what is he doing with you isn’t fair to you or Yeji.

 - . -

You lay on your bed, attempting to sleep when you notice Donghyuck is staring at the ceiling, deep in thought. You roll over to face him, “can’t sleep?” you ask.

“No not really,” he sighs.

“That sucks,” you say. “I guess you’ll be going to your room once the exams are over, right?”

“Well…since this is my last night here,” he rolls over to look at you with a devilish smirk on his face. “And since neither of us can sleep, I think we should do something else.”

“In your dreams,” you scoff, closing your eyes.

“I can just wait till you fall asleep then,” he laughs.

“I won’t fall asleep before you,” you state.

“I call bullshit,” he laughs, “you always snore and that’s what keeps me awake.”

“That’s insane,” you snap, “I don’t snore.”

He decides not to argue, there’s  no point, you’re too stubborn to admit you’re wrong. Donghyuck watches as you slowly drift off to sleep. You look so peacefully that he can’t help but to smile. He inches towards your face, kisses your forehead, then lays back down on his side of the bed.

“I knew you didn’t have the balls to do it,”  you smirk, not opening your eyes.

“It has nothing to do with my balls,” he retorts, “it’s because you can’t act.”

You laugh, turning to look at him, smiling at his adorable face. You are really enjoying having him stay with you and even though you don’t want to admit it, you’re going to be a little sad once things go back to the way they were.

“No, the real reason I didn’t do anything is because I gotta make things right, first,” Donghyuck explains, turning his entire body to face you

“What do you mean by that?” you ask.

“After the exam, I’m going to end things with Yeji,” he confesses, staring intently into your eyes. “I know this might a lot to ask, but you please wait for me?”

A small smile subconsciously appears on your face, “I’ll be right here…so you better make it quick and hurry back to me.”

“We finally finished exams! Wooaaahhh!!” Mark cheers, leading his friends down the staircase.

“It’s over!!” Chenle adds. “Woo woo!”

“It’s freakin over!!” Jaemin shouts, throwing a stack of papers into the air.

“What the hell, Jaemin!” Soojin snaps. “Why would you throw my papers? Pick them up now!”

Jaemin bends over, scurrying to gather all of the loose papers on the stairs.

“Hurry hurry,” Jeno teases.

“You guys help him too!” Soojin orders.

“What the hell, why us?” Johnny snaps.

“None of you stopped him,” she growls. “Now do it!”

Everyone groans but eventually succumbs to her demands, bending over to assist in gathering the papers.

“If I see a single paper left on the ground, I will cut you all,” she adds.

“So which bar are we hitting up tonight?” Jeno wonders.

“I’m thinking the bar where Hyuck loves the toilets so very much,” Chenle smirks while looking at Donghyuck walking down the stairs.

“Oh yeah,” Mark laughs. “So are you in?”

“I’m sorry guys, I have to bail tonight,” Donghyuck says. “I have to be home.”

“What’s going on, Hyuck,” Jisung asks.

“Nothing,” he says, with a giant smile on his face. “I just have some errands to run.” He looks around waiting for a response only to see everyone staring at him suspiciously.  “Well I'll see ya all later,” he laughs, running past his friends and down the stairs.

 - . -

“Wait up, Y/N,” YangYang orders, chasing behind you down a different set of stairs.

“Why are you in such a rush?” Doyoung asks.

“No reason, I just have some errands to run,” you explain, not stopping or slowing down.

“What errands?” Kun wonders.

“Um…” you hesitate.

“Did you guys finish your part of the report yet?” YangYang asks.

“Yea,” Hendery nods.

“Whatever guys, I’ll celebrate with ya’s another night,” you smile. “See ya.”

You pick up your speed and run off, leaving your friends behind with even more questions. You run outside to where Donghyuck normally parks his motorcycle, looking all around to make sure no one you know is in eyesight. He sneaks up from behind, lightly tapping your back.

“Boo,” he yells.

You nearly jump out of your skin. “What the hell,” you snap.

“What?” he laughs. “I saw you looking around, acting all suspicious so I couldn’t help myself.”

“I wasn’t acting suspicious, I was wondering what all this is about,” you stated. “Why do we have to meet here in secret? We normally don’t do this.”

“Well…I don’t know,” Donghyuck sighs, looking down at the ground for a split second before looking back at you. “Things changed between you and me, I guess.”

“What are the ‘things’ that you're talking about?” you ask.

“Well…things,” he smiles.

You shake your head with a giant smile, “what things? Huh?”

“Whatever…then we’ll just let everyone in the university know about us then,” he laughs, pulling you closer to him. “Let’s see, is there anybody around?”

“Oh my god, there’s Doyoung,” you panic.

He quickly lets go of your arm and drop down to the ground hiding behind his motorcycle. He glances up at you to see you smiling and giggling in amusement. Donghyuck huffs before standing back up, adjusting his shirt.

“So where are you taking me today?” you wonder.

“I’m taking you to the best restaurant in the world,” he smiles, proudly.

You watch as he gets onto his motorcycle and you climb on the back. You wrap your arms around his waist and enjoy the ride to the best restaurant in the world. He pulls into the driveway of his house and parks his bike. You both climb off and you look around confused.

“Isn’t this your house?” you wonder.

“Oh, I’ve never told you that my mom opened a restaurant?” he asks.

You scratch your head still looking around, “and you want me to eat with your family?”

“Mhm,” he nods. “Do you mind?”

“No, I guess not,” you sigh. “I’m just uncomfortable around new people…especially your parents.”

“Ooooooh hey,” a woman says, walking into the garage. “Is this her, the junior you told me about? The one that wants to try my cooking.”

“Yea,” Donghyuck nods. “You gotta show her your skills, mom.”

“Bring it on,” his mom says, proudly. “Come on, come and wait inside.”

She leads you both inside to a table and quickly wanders off into the kitchen. You and Donghyuck sit in silence. You’re clearly uncomfortable which seems to bring a sense of amusement to him. He watches you with a giant smile plastered on his face.  Renjun, his brother, wanders into the room, surprised to see you sitting aside Donghyuck.

“Oh, uh-oooh,” Renjun smiles, sitting down on the chair next to Donghyuck. “Hi,” he waves at you.

You look at the younger boy, confused then look at Donghyuck for an explanation.

“If you want to say something then say it now,” Donghyuck says to Renjun.

He slowly looks away from Donghyuck and focuses on you, “nope I don’t have anything to say, at the moment.”

“And how did you meet, Hyuck?” his mom asks, walking back into the room carrying a dish of food. “Hyuck has never brought any of his juniors home with him.”

“Oh come on mom, this isn’t just a normal junior,” Renjun announces. “She’s a special junior with an extra topping.”

You exhale deeply, looking at Donghyuck, annoyed that his brother seems to know about the two of you.

“She lives in the same dorm as mine, so we’re kind of close mom,” Donghyuck explains.

“Oh I see,” she says, carrying the rest of the dishes over to the table. “Here it is, eat up.”

You stare at the food, not reaching to get any, unaware of everyone watching. “Is there something wrong?” his mom asks.

“No,” you say, still staring at the food on the table. “I just think it smells so…”

“It’s made from a secret family recipe. You can’t find it anywhere else,” she interrupts.

“Really?” you ask.

“Yes really,” she nods, proudly.

You hesitantly scoop a spoonful of food and shove it in your mouth, everyone silently watching, patiently waiting on your response. The food tastes like nothing you ever tasted before. It is exceptionally good. Donghyuck smiles at you with such love in his eyes.

The front door swings open and in walks an older looking man. He is wearing dark blue work pants and white shirt stained with oil.

“Oh honey,” Donghyuck’s mom happily smiles. “I didn’t think you were gonna be done so soon.”

He walks over to the table, staring at you with an unwelcoming expression on his face. “Who is this and why is she in my seat?” he grunts.

“Father, this is my…my friend, Y/N,” Donghyuck explains.

“Where is Yeji?” he asks.

“Oh honey, that’s not important. Why don’t you sit next to me and enjoy this happy occasion.”

He grunts but ultimately sits down next to his wife. The energy at the table shifts instantly. The rest of the meal is in silence and you refuse to look up from your food. After dinner Donghyck leads you outside, his mom follows behind.

“Thank you for dinner Mrs. Lee,” you smile. “Everything was absolutely delicious.”

“You’re quite welcome,” she says. “You’re welcomed here anytime.”

“Now she’s gonna be begging me to come back all the time,” Donghyuck interrupts.

“Make sure you listen to her and bring her back soon,” his mom orders.

You smiles, “thank you for everything.”

His mom turns to look at her son, “now give her a good ride and get her home safely.”

“I plan on it,” Donghyuck smirks, resisting the urge to wink at you.

She continues smiling as she turns around and walks back inside of the house.

“Come on, let’s go,” Donghyuck sighs, walking over to his motorcycle. He pauses and looks at you before hopping onto his bike, “I’m really sorry about my dad earlier. He’s weird about who we bring home.”

“I get it,” you sigh. “You should’ve just told your dad that we’re just friends.”

An amused smile appears on his face, “Sure. Because I wouldn’t be taking you home if we were more than friends.”

You smile at him as you follow his lead and climb onto the back of his bike. Donghyuck quickly turns to look at the back tire, “damn it,” he snarls. “How the hell did I get a flat?”

You both quickly get off of the bike and you watch as he investigates the deflated tire. He turns to look at you, “well I guess you gotta stay the night.”

“Doesn’t your dad run a garage?” you ask. “Can’t you just fix the flat tire?”

“Can’t you see that his garage is currently closed,” Donghyuck laughs. “I’ll have to wait till tomorrow to ask him. Just spend the night.”

“Nah,” you huff, pulling your phone out of your pocket. “I can take an uber.”

“This far out?” he laughs. “There’s no ubers here, especially at this time. You have no choice, you’re gonna have to stay with me.”

“You seem to forget that I have legs and I can walk to the nearest bus stop,” you smirk, turning to walk out of his parent’s garage, “Good bye.”

Donhyuck nods amused by your naivety, “ok.”

“We’re getting married,” yangyang said with a smile on his face, “just like i always promised you.”

“What do you mean like you always promised me?” Y/N asked, trying to get off the chair.

“Ssshhhh,” Yang Yang said, putting his finger in front of her mouth. “Save that beautiful voice for the ceremony.”

“But I think I deserve to know what's going on.” Y/N argued.

Yang Yang’s smile dropped from his face as he stared coldly back at Y/N, “I’ll tell you what you fucking deserve.”

“I’m sorry,” Y/N sighed trying to appease the man who’s calm demeanor changed into something that appeared to be far more demonic.

Y/N struggled, trying to move her legs, remembering they were still tightly tied to the chair legs, causing a stabbing pain in her abdomen. She winced in pain looking down to see blood soaking through the white gown that YangYang had her dressed in.

“Oh dear,” YangYang smiled, “You seem to have made your wedding dress a little soiled.”

“I’m so sorry,” Y/N said scared that he was going to become angry.

“It’s ok, I like a little color,” YangYang smiled. “Maybe I should cut myself to add some coloring to my outfit too. That way we will match.”

Y/N didn’t know how to respond so she stayed silent.

YangYang pulled his knife out of his pocket releasing the blade. He lifted his shirt exposing his chiseled abs and noticed Y/N silently staring. He took the blade of the knife gently tracing the outline of his abs while making eye contact with her. “This turns you on, doesn’t it?” he asked.

“No,” Y/N blushed, quickly turning away.

“It’s ok darling,” Yangyang smirked. “You’re supposed to find your husband to be sexy. Shit, I’d find me sexy if I was you.”

“If we’re gonna be married,” Y/N started. “You should probably untie me so I can at least touch you properly. You know the way a wife should touch her husband.”

“If I untie you and you try to run, I will have to break your legs,” YangYang smiled as he started untying the restraints on her legs and arms. “So please don’t make me do that.”

“I promise I won’t,” Y/N nodded.

Once her hands were released Y/N gently rubbed her wrists and legs then gently held her abdomen trying to release some of that pain as well.

YangYang kneeled down in front of her and kissed her stomach where the blood was soaking through the dress. “Move your fucking hands,” YangYang snarled in his demonic voice forcing Y/N to listen without hesitation.

He rubbed his face over the blood stained dress. “This isn’t working,” he huffed getting frustrated. He grabbed the bottom of her dress, lifting it up exposing her lower body. “This is such a heavenly sight,” he breathed heavily. “The things we are going to do together get me so excited. Wait YangYang you need to focus. Do what’s right now.” He placed his face directly on the wound causing Y/N to wince from the pain. He pulled back and released her dress allowing it fall back down onto the floor. YangYang stood up with wet blood on his face, staring into her eyes and forcefully placed his lips against hers. She could feel his tongue trying to make its way into her mouth when she pulled away. He grabbed her right hand and placed in onto the bulge in his pants, “do you see what you fucking do to me?”

“Shouldn’t we wait till we're married?” Y/N panicked.

“I’m gonna cut myself and you’re gonna rub your face in it,” YangYang demanded with wide eyes. “DAMN THIS IS GONNA BE FUCKING HOT!”

YangYang ripped his shirt open and ran the blade of his knife down his chest leaving an open wound with blood dripping down his chiseled body. He let out a moan of excitement as the blade cut through his skin. “Now put your face in that,” he ordered.

“Uhm,” Y/N hesitated. “I don’t know if I should. Don’t I have enough blood on me?”

“RUB YOUR FUCKING FACE IN MY BLOOD BITCH,” YangYang yelled, grabbing a handful of her hair forcing her head harshly against his chest. “Yea you like that shit you little fucking cunt.”

Y/N didn’t say anything, she was afraid to argue or to do anything that he didn’t want her to do.

YangYang released her hair and turned to look at the corner of the room. His demeanor returned to the soft happy boy that he was when she first came in contact with him while she laid on the Doctors table.

“What?” YangYang said. “Ok, I understand.”

He turned back to look at Y/N and smiled, “Paster bearie said this isn’t appropriate behavior before the wedding.”

“Who?” Y/N asked not seeing anyone else in the room with them.

“He also said that you seem to be a bad influence on me and now he’s not sure if he’s ok with us getting married,” Yangyang announced. “You’re going to have to convince him that you want to be my wife.”

“What happens if I can’t,” Y/N asked.

“I’ll just have to kill you,” YangYang shrugged with a smile on his face.

Seonghwa patiently sat in his office, staring at his full glass of whiskey sitting on his desk in front of him. A knock sounded out from his door tearing him out of the trance that he appeared to be locked in.

“Come in,” Seonghwa said, staring at his door, waiting to see which one of the boys came to him first.

The door slowly opened exposing Yeosang carrying his laptop.

“What do you need from me?” Yeosang asked before sitting on the chair directly in front of Seonghwa’s desk.

“That’s an interesting question,” Seonghwa smirked, before taking a long gulp from his glass of whiskey. “I have been thinking a lot and I was wondering if you still know how I feel about lying?”

Yeosang stared at his boss for a moment before speaking, “of course I do. Under no circumstances are we allowed to lie.”

“And what happens if you’re caught in a lie?” Seonghwa asked, treating the grown man sitting before him as though he was a child.

“It’s punishable by death,” Yeosang exhaled, slowly.

“Good,” Seonghwa smiled. “You remember.”

“What’s this about?” Yeosang asked, impatiently.

“I’ve been thinking and I feel like there are a few of you that are not being completely honest with me,” Seonghwa announced looking up from his desk. “And to be frank, it’s starting to piss me the fuck off.”

“I haven’t lied at all,” Yeosang panicked, fully aware of the risks he was facing if he was caught in a lie.

“Mhm,” Seonghwa hummed. “I want to see the footage from the hospital.”

“I showed you that footage,” yeosang cocked his head.

“No,” Seonghwa slammed his fist down. “You showed me what you wanted to show me. I want to see all of Y/N’s movements from the time she left the waiting room until she was taken.”

“Well,” Yeosang sighed, “that might have been deleted by now.”

Seonghwa opened the top drawer of his desk, removed his pistol and laid it on the top next to his whiskey, facing the barrel towards the boy. “I have full faith in you that you will be able to find what I am asking.”

“Yes sir,” Yeosang sighed as he opened his laptop and started typing away.

After a few minutes, Seonghwa started to get impatient, “well did you find it?”

“I’m telling you, it doesn’t really show anything,” Yeosang sighed still typing away.

“I’ll be the judge of that,” Seonghwa growled. “Now show me everything.”

Yeosang placed his laptop onto the desk, facing the screen towards Seonghwa.

“Press play whenever you’re ready,” Yeosang ordered, returning to his seat in front of the desk.

Seonghwa took a deep breath before clicking on the button to start the video. He watched in silence as Y/N exited the waiting room and skipped down the hallway. He watched her get pulled into a room by San then San stormed out of the room shortly after. He continued to watch as Y/N continued to skip down the hallway towards the elevator. He saw her take an elevator down to the basement and head into the morgue. He continued to stare at the video, watching the doors of the morgue as nothing happened when the elevator door opened again, exposing Yunho who happily ran into the morgue, doors closing behind him. After what seemed to be an eternity, Y/N exited the morgue and happily skipped over to the elevator. Once Yugyeom got onto the elevator, Seonghwa paused the video.

“I want to see what happened in the morgue,” Seonghwa growled.

“There’s no cameras in there,” Yeosang said.

“Bullshit,” Seonghwa snapped, slamming his hand down onto his desk causing the younger boy to jump from the noise. “Those morgue techs have to be sick fucking freaks, I’m sure they have some form of cameras in there.”

“Seriously,” Yeosang argued. “I couldn’t find anything.”

Seonghwa smirked as he cocked his head to look at the boy who was staring back at him with a look of complete despair in his eyes. Seonghwa motioned with his pointer finger for the younger boy to come closer. Yeosang did as he was told and got up to walk over to Seonghwa’s desk.  Seonghwa grabbed yeosang’s hand, holding it flat on his desk, as he retrieved his butterfly knife out of his pocket. With a flick of his wrist, the blade was exposed. Seonghwa stabbed the desk in between two of Yeosang’s fingers causing the boy to yelp out of fear of what was coming.

“Are you sure you’re not lying to protect Yunho,” Seonghwa asked, pulling the knife back out from the desk and once again raising it again to stab the desk.

“I swear I’m not lying,” Yeosang pleaded.

Seonghwa stabbed the desk again, grazing yeosang’s pinkie causing blood to drip out onto the desk.

“If you’re lying, I will cut your fucking hand off,” Seonghwa growled in a low almost demonic voice.

“I looked everywhere and I can’t see anything. I even tried to hack into the personal computers in the morgue to see if any videos were available and the only videos that I could locate are the ones they record during autopsies. But those cameras appear to be turned off all the other times,” Yeosang scrambled for words.

Seonghwa released his hand, “go get Yunho,” he commanded.

Yeosang backed away from Seonghwa’s desk, not taking his eyes off of the boss until he was completely out of the office.

Yeosang returned a few minutes later with Yunho trailing behind. Seonghwa looked up from the glass of whiskey that he was concentrating on and smirked.

“Have a seat,” he commanded.

Yunho smiled, oblivious of what was coming.

“Would you like a drink, Yunho?” Seonghwa asked before finishing what was left in the glass that he was drinking.

“Yea sure,” Yunho smiled.

Seonghwa reached into the bottom desk drawer, pulling out a bottle of aged whiskey and an empty glass. He poured some whiskey in the empty glass, placing it at the edge of the desk for Yunho to grab and then refilled his own glass. He then replaced the whiskey bottle back inside the bottom drawer. Seonghwa took a long gulp from his glass while staring at Yunho.

“When we were at the hospital,” Seonghwa started, “what all did you do while the rest of us were sitting in the waiting room?”

“What do you mean?” Yunho asked.

“Exactly what I fucking said,” Seonghwa snapped. “WHAT WERE YOU FUCKING DOING IN THE MORGUE?”

“I found a girlfriend,” Yunho sighed.

“A girlfriend, huh?” Seonghwa cocked his head. “Do tell.”

“There’s nothing really to tell,” Yunho sighed. “I don’t have her anymore.”

“What do you mean?”Seonghwa asked.

“Well,” Yunho smiled looking down at his feet. “I owned her, everything was mine and now she’s gone.”

Before Seonghwa had time to ask a follow up question the door to his office flew open and Wooyoung entered with a package in his hand.

“This was delivered for you,” he explained, handing the package to Seonghwa.

“Thank you, Woo,” Seonghwa smiled, setting the package down on his desk.

“Are you going to open it?” Wooyoung asked.

“I will but we’re in the middle of something at the moment,” Seonghwa said. “You may leave again.”

“But…” Wooyoung continued.

“Fucking leave now,” Seonghwa snarled.

Wooyoung didn’t argue, he stormed out of the office, slamming the door behind him.

Seonghwa took a deep breath before speaking again, “please continue, Yunho.”

“That’s some pretty paper on that box,” Yunho announced, staring at the package sitting in front of Seonghwa. “I wish I would get presents in the mail. You’re so lucky.”

“Don’t focus on the package,” Seonghwa snapped. “Focus on what you were doing in the morgue.”

“Uhm how did you know I was in the morgue?” Yunho asked, confused.

“I know everything,” Seonghwa smirked. “Now tell me what you did.”

“That package is leaking,” Yunho announced with wide eyes. “It looks like blood.”

“I saw you and Y/N were in the morgue together, what happened,” Seonghwa asked while he started unwrapping the package that was sitting in front of him.

“I don’t know what you want me to say,” Yunho sighed.

“Jesus christ,” Yeosang blurted out. “Did you fuck Y/N or not?”

“She’s my girlfriend,” Yunho said. “I can do whatever I want with her. I own her.”

“You son of a bitch,” Wooyoung yelled, kicking the door open with his pistol exposed and aimed at Yunho. “You fucking raped her you sick bastard!”

“She wanted it,” Yunho argued, pulling his gun out. “Fuck you!”

“Holy shit,” Seonghwa gasped, dropping something onto his desk, leaving his hands bloody, causing all three of the men to look at him.

“What is that?” Yeosang asked.

“I think it’s the tattoo of my name that was on Y/N,” Seonghwa gasped, staring at his hands.

Wooyoung dropped his gun, running over and retrieving the skin laying on the desk. “That is her tattoo,” he announced.

Seonghwa unfolded the paper that was attached to the skin and read its contents aloud, “We have Y/N. If you ever want to see her alive again we will need 1.5 million dollars. You will be hearing from us shortly with further instructions. Hugs and Kisses. ~W.”

“Who the fuck is W?” Wooyoung asked.

“Whoever it is,” Seonghwa snarled. “They are going to pay for this.”

Yunho continued to stare at the skin that was removed from Y/N, “could I keep that tattoo?” he asked. “It would go nice in my collection.”

The night went on, while Y/N laid restless in her bed, unable to fall back to sleep. She tossed and turned thinking about everyone and everything. She had some regrets about rejecting Jungwon. She thought she might have some feelings for him but she wasn’t sure. She also thought about how she might have feelings for Jungwon and even Heeseung. Her emotions seemed to be getting jumbled and she could no longer distinguish the difference between rage, love, like, or just lust. It was all so confusing.

The morning light shone through the curtains in her dorm.

“A new day, a new beginning,” Y/N said to herself, getting up out of bed. She was hopeful that today would be a better day. After all, it couldn't be much worse.

Y/N got dressed in an outfit that was suitable to attend a carnival. She had no idea what kind of carnival a school like this would be hosting but how different could it really be?

After her hair and makeup was perfect, she made her way down to the dining hall for some breakfast. She only recognized a few of the people in the room but decided to sit alone at a table to eat in peace.

“Good morning, sunshine,” Felix said, walking over to her table.

Y/N looked up to see Felix standing in front of her with Jeongin and Han. She hadn’t seen Han or Jeongin since the incident that happened in the study and it made her extremely uncomfortable being so close to them again. But she forced a smile onto her face, “good morning,” she grunted.

“You look pretty this morning,” Felix smiled.

“Thanks,” Y/N sighed, continuing to eat her breakfast.

Felix sat down across from Y/N at the table. “What’s wrong with you? Are you mad at me?” he asked.

“No,” Y/N stated, coldly.

“Something is wrong,” Felix continued. “I can tell.”

Y/N glanced at Han and Jeongin who were both analyzing her with different expressions on their faces then went back to looking at her food, not responding.

Felix smiled, “sit down guys. I think you’re making sunshine nervous.”

Jeongin and Han groaned but sat down without saying anything else.

“Is that better?” Felix asked.

Y/N appeared to become more uncomfortable as she dropped her fork onto her tray of food. “I guess,” she sighed.

“Is it them?” Felix wondered.

“Well they did try to kill me,” Y/N whispered.

“Heeseung tried to kill you too,” Han grunted. “But you just keep trying to bang him.”

Jeongin laughed, “we would just like the same respect.” His smile dropped from his face and a scowl appeared.

“First of all,” Y/N snapped, “Heeseung has never actually tried to kill me. And second I would never try to bang him. That’s just disgusting.”

“You act like people don’t talk,” Han snarled. “You can’t keep your dirty little secrets hidden around here.”

“I’m not trying to keep anything hidden,” Y/N argued. “And I don’t want lies being told about me.”

“You don’t like lies and yet you’re the biggest liar of them all,” Jeongin smiled, cocking his head while looking at Y/N with wide eyes.

“Why did you bring them over here?” Y/N bluntly asked Felix. “They clearly don’t like me.”

“They wanted to apologize for their bad behavior towards you,” Felix stated. “Don’t you believe in second chances?”

“Of course I do,” Y/N nodded. “But if that’s the case then why are they treating me so meanly now.”

“This is mean,” Han laughed. “I am more than willing to show you mean if that’s what you’re into.”

Y/N exhaled deeply, purely out of frustration, she moved her chair back and attempted to stand up, unable to complete the action. There were two hands on her shoulders holding her still. She panicked, turning her head to see who was behind her.

“Good morning, all,” Chan smiled. “I hope I'm not interrupting anything.”

“You have the worst timing,” Jeongin snarled.

Chan ignored the boy’s comment, continuing to smile down at Y/N, “Is it alright if I join you for breakfast?” he asked.

“I was just about finished eating,” Y/N sighed, looking down at her almost full tray of food.

“It looks like you barely ate anything,” Chan argued.

“You need to eat your food to keep your strength up,” Felix added.

“Little bitch is just too excited to eat,” Han laughed. “I have that effect on sluts.”

Y/N shot him a look of death before speaking, “I actually lost my appetite because of your disgusting behavior.”

“I knew you’d like it filthy,” Han smirked. “You’re a dirty little bitch.”

“Jisung,” Chan snarled. “That’s enough.”

“But I didn’t do anything,” Han argued.

“Go get ready for the carnival,” Chan ordered.

“I am ready,” Han snapped.

“No you’re not,” Chan growled. “Now don’t make me repeat myself.”

Han huffed before ultimately standing up and leaving the dining hall. Chan breathed a sigh of relief that Han didn’t put up too much of a fight, he turned to face Y/N with a giant smile on his face.

“May I join you?” he asked.

“Sure,” Y/N nodded, “but I told you I think I’m pretty much done eating.”

“It looks like you barely touched your breakfast,” Chan stated, glancing down at the tray of food in front of her.

“I kind of lost my appetite,” she sighed, glancing at Jeongin then looking back down at her food.

“Eh,” Chan smirked, “why don’t you just eat a little more. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I always make sure all of my boys eat a proper breakfast. Isn’t that right, boys?”

“I love breakfast,” Felix smiled, innocently.

Jeongin rolled his eyes, “you’re such an ass kisser.”

Felix’s smile dropped from his face as he reached into the waste of his pants, pulling out a switchblade.

“What the fuck did you just call me?” he snarled.

“What the hell Felix?” Y/N gasped.

Felix slowly turned his head to look at her, a smile slightly growing on his face as he lowered his hand, “I was clearly joking. I was just trying to lighten the mood,” he laughed.

Jeongin ran his finger across his own throat while making eye contact with Felix, “your time will come mother fucker,” he growled.

“Knock this shit off,” Chan snapped. “I just want to enjoy a nice breakfast with my new friend. So anyone who isn’t eating needs to leave the dining hall right now and get ready for the fucking carnival.”

Jeongin stood up and stormed out of the dining hall, Felix wasn’t as quick to leave though. He gently smiled at Y/N before speaking, “I hope we’ll get to hang out today at the carnival. I’d love to go on some rides with you.”

“I’d like that too, Felix,” Y/N smiled back.

Felix’s smile dropped, “hopefully no accidents will happen though. Rides can be awfully dangerous.”

“Umm,” Y/N hesitated. “Yea I hope not too.”

“I’m just kidding,” Felix said, laughing, “accidents on rides are very unlikely.”

“That’s enough, Felix,” Chan grunted. “Go get ready.”

“I’ll see you later, sunshine,” Felix stated as he walked away from the table, leaving the dining hall.

Chan sighed heavily, “sorry about my boys. They can be a lot sometimes.”

“I don’t know,” Y/N said, pushing the food on her tray around with a plastic fork. “Felix has been really nice to me. But he’s the only one.”

“Hmm,” Chan said, raising an eyebrow. “I’m glad to hear that Felix has been nice. Well I’ll still apologize for the other ones. You’re just new things will get better, I promise.”

“It’s whatever,” Y/N sighed. “I think I’m starting to get used to everyone treating me like that.”

“That’s not a good thing,” Chan stated. “You shouldn’t have to get used to anyone treating you poorly.”

“What can I do?” Y/N asked. “I’m human and I’m no match for anyone here.”

“There’s more to defending yourself than just physical strength,” Chan stated. “Words can cut deeper than a knife. You need to learn to be smarter than everyone in the room. Make sure you always keep your eyes open and see every situation for what it actually is.”

“Why are you being so nice to me?” Y/N asked.

“I don’t like to see anyone getting bullied,” Chan said. “Are your parents coming today?”

“My parents?” Y/n repeated. “Why would my parents be coming here today?”

“Parents are allowed at the carnival,” Chan smiled. “Didn’t anyone tell you that?”

“No one really tells me anything,” Y/N sighed. “But to be honest, I’m not too interested in seeing my parents right now.”

“Why’s that?” Chan asked.

“They sent me here without any warning. I don’t know why either. I just woke up one morning in my new bed with Ryujin smiling at me,” Y/N explained. “It doesn’t make sense why they didn’t want me with them anymore.”

“I’m sure they had their reasons,” Chan sighed. “Maybe it would help you and give you some kind of closure to ask them their reasons.”

Y/N sighed, dropping her fork onto the tray of food, “maybe…but to be honest I think I’m a little scared to hear their reasons.”

“I hear that,” Chan smiled. “That’s neither here nor there, let’s not think about such things now. We should probably head out to the carnival.”

Y/N stood up, picking her tray up to return it before leaving, freezing in her tracks when she saw Yeonjun and some girl enter the dining hall holding hands.

“This is such bullshit,” Y/N snapped, dropping her tray back onto the table and storming out of the room, fighting back the tears.

“Hey, Y/N,” a voice called out from down the hallway. “Wait for me.”

“We used to go to high school together at a normal school and he was the most popular boy in school…”

 - .12 - -

“Oh my god did you see Jay this morning?” Chaeyoung asked, running up to Ryujin in the hallway.

“Not yet,” Ryujin smiled. “I’m sure he looks amazing though.”

“No you don’t get it girl, he’s looking for you,” Chaeyoung smiled.

“For me?” Ryujin asked. “Why?”

“I don’t know,” Chaeyoung said. “But everyone is talking about it.”

“Ryujin,” Jay said, walking up to the two girls. “I’ve been looking all over for you.”

“Well you found me,” Ryujin smiled, hating herself for saying something so stupid.

Ryujin never knew what to say. She was what you would describe as awkward. She wasn’t comfortable in her own skin but when she looked at Jay she forgot all of that. She knew what she wanted, she wanted jay.

Jay stared at Ryujin for a few moments, analyzing the love struck girl in front of him.

“I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today after school?” Jay said.

“Are you serious?” Ryujin asked. “Of course I’d like to hang out with you.”

“I figured you’d say yes,” he smirked. “Be at my car when I get there.”

“Ok,” Ryunjin agreed eagerly.

Jay didn’t say anything else as he half smiled at the girl and walked away.

“What was that about?” Chaeyoung asked.

“I don’t know,” Ryujin smiled, “But I’m not gonna question it. I can’t believe he finally knows who I am.”

“But don’t you think it’s a little strange that…” Chaeyoung continued.

“Shut the fuck up,” Ryujin growled. “You’re starting to ruin this for me.”

“Ok,” Chaeyoung said, looking down at her feet. “I just hope it goes like you want it to.”

The rest of the day went on without a hitch, just the mundane normal shit. But it seemed to last forever, time seemed to stand still because Ryujin has never been so excited for anything in her life.

The bell rang signaling the day was over. Ryujin ran to her locker, throwing everything inside and hurried outside to Jay’s car to wait on him. 45 minutes later he finally exited the building, headed to his car, kind of surprised the girl was still waiting.

“Hi,” Ryujin smiled, cheerily.

“Oh you’re still here,” Jay grunted.

“Yea of course I am, you told me to wait for you so I did,” Ryujin said.

“But I didn’t think you’d actually wait for almost an hour,” Jay laughed. “You must really want something from me.”

“Um,” Ryujin hesitated. “I don’t really know what you mean.”

“Oh god,” Jay rolled his eyes. “You’re dumber than I remembered.”

“Yea I guess I can be kind of dumb,” Ryujin agreed, just happy to be talking to the boy.

“Get in,” Jay ordered, climbing inside of his car.

Ryujin happily did as she was told. Once inside she turned to look at Jay, “so are we going to get something to eat or go to the mall?”

“Hell no,” Jay grunted. “We’re going to my house.”

“To do what?” Ryujin wondered.

“To have some fun,” Jay smirked. “I’m assuming it's the only thing you’ll be good at.”

“Um I’m not sure if I…”

Jay turned to look at her with a look of rage on his face, “you’re not sure if what?” he snapped. “You don’t want to hang out with me?”

“Of course I do,” Ryujin nodded.

“Ok good, then shut the fuck up and enjoy the ride,” Jay ordered.

Ryujin ignored her instincts to get out of the vehicle and go home, she stopped arguing and looked out of her window.

When Jay pulled into the driveway, he got out of the car and started walking inside. Once he got to the door he turned to see Ryujin slowly walking behind.

“Would you hurry the fuck up,” Jay ordered. “I’m starving.”

Ryujin didn’t respond, she just picked up her pace and followed the boy inside.

“So what are we eating?” Ryujin asked, innocently.

Jay turned around, eyes as black as night and his fangs fully exposed.

“You,” he snarled, moving closer.

“Oh my god,” Ryujin gasped. “What are you?”

“Your worst nightmare,” he whispered, biting down harshly on her neck. Ryujin continued to scream and fight to get him off of her. Jay continued to drink until he was satisfied. He pulled away, dropping Ryujin’s body onto the floor. “God you taste good.”

“Why are you doing this?” Ryujin cried.

“I thought you wanted my attention,” Jay said, wiping the blood off his mouth with his arm.

“Not like this,” Ryujin continued crying.

“You don’t look so good,” Jay said, cocking his head to look at her. “I think I might have over indulged,” he laughed.

“I don’t feel so good,” Ryujin announced. “Am I going to die?”

“Not yet,” Jay smirked, biting his wrist and forcing his arm into her mouth. “Drink.”

Ryujin did as she was told. After a few minutes Jay pulled his arm back and Ryujin stood up. She contemplated trying to run, she weighed her options as Jay stared at her. He moved inches away from her face, gazing intently into her eyes.

“You’re not going to be scared,” Jay ordered.

“I’m not scared,” Ryujin repeated.

“We’re going to party and have some fun,” Jay continued. “And maybe I will let you live.”

Ryujin smiled, “that was so delicious. Can I have some more?”

“That’s my girl,” Jay smirked, walking into the living room turning on some music. He poured them both a glass of whiskey before kissing Ryujin harshly grabbing her hair to hold her still.

The two continued to party for a few hours. Ryujin and Jay were dancing, bodies pressed firmly against each other. Jay kissed her head instantly sending shivers throughout her body. He leaned down lightly kissing her neck, running his tongue up to her ear, which he gently nibbled on. Ryujin was going insane with excitement. He kissed his way from her ear to her mouth, firmly pressing his lips against hers. He pulled away, whispering, “would you like to go to my bedroom?”

Ryujin nodded, afraid to speak because she didn’t want to take the chance of saying something wrong. Jay picked Ryujin up, throwing her over his shoulder to carry her up the stairs.

After an intense hour of sexual bliss, Ryujin laid on Jay’s arm with her arm over his chest while he lightly played with her hair.

“Are you going to kill me?” Ryujin whispered.

“I don’t think so,” Jay said. “You proved to be a good time.”

This put a smile on Ryujin’s face, she needed his approval. She wasn’t sure why it was so important but it was.

“Shit,” she said, starting to panic. “What time is it?”

Jay looked over at his alarm clock, “almost 8, why?”

“Oh my god, my father is going to kill me,” Ryujin said, attempting to sit up but was stopped by Jay.

“He’ll get over it,” Jay grunted. “I’m not ready for you to leave yet.”

“No you don’t understand,” Ryujin panicked. “The last time I was late and wasn’t home to make his dinner, he beat me so bad I ended up in the hospital.”

“That was you?” Jay asked. “Kids at school were talking about a girl getting beat and put in the hospital but I never knew that was you.”

“Yea that was me,” Ryujin sighed as tears started forming in her eyes. “This time he’s going to kill me for sure.”

“Where’s your mom?” Jay wondered.

“About a year ago, she took my little sister and left. I guess she got tired of getting beat,” Ryujin stated, trying to smile to cover up her real feelings.

“That’s fucked up,” Jay snarled. “Your life is really a mess.”

“I know,” Ryujin agreed. “But what can you do? These are the cards I was dealt and I just gotta accept it.”

“You poor thing,” Jay sighed. “You have nothing positive in your life. You are pretty much a lost cause.”

“I don’t know about all that,” Ryujin said.

“No it’s true,” Jay continued. “If you weren’t here, nobody would miss you either.”

Jay reached down grabbing her head with both hands, “I’m going to help you out though,” he whispered.

“How?” Ryujin wondered. Just then Jay snapped her neck, smiling as her body went limp, falling back down onto his bed.

Jay stood up and went to the bathroom, putting boxers on when he reentered his bedroom. He walked over to his dresser, pouring himself a glass of whiskey, leaning against the wall while staring at her body. After a few minutes, Ryujin inhaled deeply while sitting up in bed. She looked around the room, seeing Jay staring at her with a smile on his face.

“What did you do to me?” Ryujin asked.

“I killed you,” Jay smiled.

“What?” she wondered.

“You’re in transition,” Jay explained. “Now you gotta feed if you want to live.”

“And if I don’t?” Ryujin asked.

“You die,” Jay smiled. “And this time you won’t come back. I’ll be back in a little while. You wait here and think about what you want to do.”

He started to walk out of the room, before exiting he turned and walked over to stand beside her. Jay bent down, kissing her on the head, “think of all the fun you and I could have if you chose to live.”

Before Ryujin had time to respond, Jay was gone. He returned in what felt like an eternity. He walked into his bedroom, dragging Chaeyoung behind him.

“Ryujin, what’s going on?” Chaeyoung asked.

“Why is she here?” Ryujin asked.

“I brought you someone to feed on,” Jay smiled. “Think of it as a present from me to you.”

“I can’t do that to her,” Ryujin said. “She’s my best friend.”

“But I could be your best friend,” Jay smirked. He turned to look Chaeyoung in the eyes, “tell your friend how much you want her to feed on you.”

“Ryujin, I want you to do this,” Chaeyoung said, putting her arm out. “Here.”

Ryujin shook her head no, trying to deny her new urges. Jay smiled at her stubbornness. He exposed his fangs, biting down on Chaeyoung’s wrist, pushing it in front of Ryujin’s face.

“Feed,” Jay snarled.

Ryujin tried to fight the urge but she could smell it, taste it, and she could hear Chaeyoung’s heart beating pushing the blood throughout her body. It was practically calling her name. It was an urge she couldn’t resist. Before she knew what she was doing, Ryujin had Chaeyoung’s wrist in her mouth. Jay smiled, pleased with what he did. He walked up behind Chaeyoung, biting down on her neck while feeding alongside his new project. Ryujin continued to drink until she felt the life draining from her friend’s body but at this point all she could think about was Jay. She dropped Chaeyoung’s arm, forcing Jay to let go of her body as well. Ryujin pushed Jay up against the wall, kissing him with her friend’s blood on both of their mouths.

Ryujin pulled away, looking at Jay in the eyes and whispered, “now you and I can spend all eternity together baby. I should have known you loved me.”

“Oh fuck,” Jay snarled. “What did I do?”
