KOSA (Kids Online Safety Act) wants to do something like this on a national level

If you've followed me for a minute, you've probably gathered that my big thing is practical anarchism/activism, and I've realized that a huge portion of that is just "activism informed by natural human behavior," i.e. guilt-tripping can't sustain a movement; no one likes to be belittled or screamed at for not knowing things; if you're trying to change someone's mind, you really do have to handle them gently even if it's annoying; being too intense about things is an overall detriment to your cause because it drives people away from you, etc.
What I've also realized is that extremism is just activism uninformed by human behavior; it focuses on absolutes like "all people should do ___, think ___, care about ___," etc. and refuses to acknowledge what people naturally will and won't do by instead demonizing normal human behavior/failings or deeming anyone who displays them as dirty/unworthy. And the reason extremism just isn't effective in the the long-term is because instead of anticipating and accommodating the behaviors that pretty much everyone will express or give into at some point, extremism can only maintain its goals via threats and force, and once that threat/force-level reaches a certain point, the people experiencing it are willing to either run or fight to be rid of it, which will then erode the extreme ideology.
While extremist ideology can get people wound up to do something in the short-term, if you want to build a world that is both better and sustainable, you have to account for the way people are rather than just being edgy about the errors of mankind and all that shit.

You don’t need to waste your time investigating whether they are a bot or a psy-op or a misinformed rube. It doesn’t matter. Either way, they add no value to your dashboard. Block and move on.

At this point - you've heard of it. And you're probably trying to understand what exactly it is. How does it affect you? Your American friends and family? What does it all mean?
PROJECT 2025 is a Conservative Playbook to essentially take over the American government and reshape life as Americans know it. Conservatives refer to it as a "comprehensive transition plan" to take place during the first 180 days of presidency. It is a 900-page document [of which I read] and can generally explained as complete and utter religious bullshit and agenda.
It is best summarized by the subreddit community r/Defeat_Project_2025 : "Project 2025 is a plan by The Heritage Foundation to reshape the US into an authoritarian theocracy, bring about religious tyranny. It threatens the freedom and liberty we fought for and vowed to defend. They plan to ban abortion, cut LGBTQ protections, reverse climate policy, environmental regulation and more, endangering our future. HF inserted policies and staff going back to Reagan. Trump accepted 64% of their "Mandate for Leadership" plan - proof, which Project 2025 builds off. 70 Heritage Foundation Alumni served in his administration or transition team."
HEY, THAT ACTUALLY SOUNDS REALLY SCARY. WHAT EXACTLY ARE THE GOALS OF THIS PROJECT?

Every single on of those registrations was a single person deciding to register. When you think you're just "lil ol me" and your voice doesn't matter that much: Remember this. Your actions have impact, your voice and your vote matter.

Hey, if you have half a minute and care about the LGTBQIA+ community in the EU, I'd suggest you take a look at this initiative to ban conversion therapies in the EU.
1 million people are required to sign, but there's barely 100k. The form takes less than a minute, it only requires your ID, name and surname.
Please, help spread the initiative so that it can reach the goal ASAP!
There's an EU initiative going on right now that essentially boils down to wanting to force videogame publishers with paid games and/or games with paid elements such as DLC, expansions and microtransactions to leave said games in a playable state after they end support, or in simpler terms, make them stop killing games.
A "playable state" would be something like an offline mode for previously always online titles, or the ability for people to host their own servers where reasonably possible just to name some examples.
I don't think I need to tell anyone that having something you paid for being taken from you is bad, which is a thing that routinely happens with live service and other always online games with a notable recent example being The Crew which is now permanently unplayable.
Any EU citizen is eligible to sign the initiative, but only once and if you mess up that's it. You can find it here. (https://citizens-initiative.europa.eu/initiatives/details/2024/000007_en)
Even if you're not European or you signed it already, you can share this initiative with anyone who is, even if they don't care about videogames specifically because this needs a million signatures and there is different thresholds that need to be met for each EU country for their votes to even count and could also be a precedent for other similar practices like when Sony removed a bunch of Discovery TV content people paid for.
