thank you for 50 followers omg!! when i started this blog a couple weeks ago i did not think very many people would be interested in my silly fics!

i started using tumblr back in like 2012 but it has been many years since i was an active user. thank you for welcome me back!! 💕

ps i'm still on the hunt for mutuals/pals since im rather new around here- tagging with my current fixations so we can find each other hehe

Alt texts and image descriptions are important asf, and everyone should use the alt text tool tumblr makes available on this site.

And use it correctly, btw, I'm looking right in the eye of that one mf who used alt text and only put “image” on it. /meta /slang

yknow i never noticed the sheer rareness of images having ids or alt text on this website until i started adding alt text to my art (and trying to remember to add it to any images i post in general, especially text screenshots) and that makes me kinda sad

Speaking of blind things, today I saw someone write “no alt text” in their image description and that is just about the most insulting thing I’ve seen it used for. Just leave it blank if you don’t wanna describe, asshole! Unnecessary alt text blocks a screen reader from being able to try and interpret an image, so either describe it or don’t!

If you put a link in the alt text I will come to your house and throw my white cane through your window like a javelin. Don’t do that shit. Sighted people won’t see it and I literally can’t make use of it.

In good news, AccessiBe is finally getting the shit surd out of them for lying to customers and making the web worse with their shitty overlays and I am ecstatic. :D

Please, for the love of god alt text writers, STOP putting links in your alt text!!! It does nothing helpful, gets in the way of actually describing things, blocks screen readers from reading any real text, they can't be clicked on, it's just the worst! Alt text is for DESCRIBING what is going on in your image and nothing else!

Listen, I know we're all exhausted, but we gotta get better about adding image descriptions to disability related stuff. Everyone should be IDing everything anyways, but there's a particularly cruel irony in disability related stuff not being accessible to folks with low/no vision.

A strange OMORI dream I had yesterday, visualized

I should probably explain a lil bit about the world of my main OCs (Fox, Wolf, Fang, Bone) real quick.

So, Fox and Wolf are two scientists from a dimension that's very similar to ours. Has the internet, modern technology, etc.

This dimension is known as 5b.

On the other hand, Fang and Bone are from dimension 5a: A post-apocalyptic world that experienced a nuclear holocaust in 1983. Most world countries have collapsed, the environment is irradiated, and most of society in the United States live in underground bunkers.

So you might be wondering: Why did this event happen in 1983? This is based on a real-life event: Oko, a missile detection system in the Soviet Union, falsely detected missiles from the US heading to Russia. Stanislav Petrov, the man on duty at the time, ignored the warning from the system, potentially saving the world from WW3. Had he responded, the Soviet Union would have 'retaliated' by shooting missiles back in return.

That's the difference between 5a and 5b. 5a is the result of Stanislav Petrov believing the warning to be legit and convincing command to strike back immediately, causing a nuclear exchange that destroyed civilization. 5b is just like our real life world: he ignored the warning and the world exists like it does today.

I'll go into more detail in the future on the major differences between each world, Anarchy City, and how the countries of the world fare in 5a.

This time last year I made character art as I watched an AA trilogy playthrough for the first time…so I decided to recreate it for 2023!

[2024 edit: just to clarify, the lines near edgeworth's pointed finger were supposed to mimic those specific, dramatic backgrounds in superhero comic panels. however, looking back now, I'm conscious that they could be seen as somewhat resembling the radiating rays of the rising sun flag. and I'm making this connection because I recently discovered that this symbolism has been used in some official capcom artwork (for dgs, not the main trilogy, but the point still stands, considering I've played both). I wanted to make it clear that it wasn't my aim to represent that imagery in this piece, even if it has been in some of the artwork I've seen. I'm always striving to be more critical of my past art choices, and as such, I want to be more careful in the future. I hope all is understandable and clear!]
