Rayla was so hesitant, but she desperately needed a parents love right then, and all four of the elves who could claim that title are lost to her right now. The fact it’s Amaya who initiated this, is choosing to reach out to Rayla, choosing to take this moment to apologise. Amaya who is seeing this young elf, not as a monster like she did all those years ago, but as a young woman who’s lost. Who needs some guidance and a reassuring touch. A nudge in the right direction. The fact that Rayla wants this hug; the fact that Amaya is willing to give it. It’s such a lovely little scene, for both characters
