i don't think i get seasonal depression but i do think i get like. 'feeling artistically insecure/forget how to be an artist' syndrome around this time of year and it SUCKS bc this is the time i wanna draw the MOST cos it's my fave time of year ; w ;

hey, fellow artists!

those of u who can sit and draw for hours, what kind of chairs we using?

bc i have a crappy SecretLab chair and this thing is the MOST uncomfortable chair i have ever sat in and makes me feel SO fatigued i literally can barely ever stand to sit here and draw for any amount of time. i genuinely notice the difference between sitting in this chair and something more comfortable like the recliner furniture we have in the living room. it's like a sigh of relief to sit on a chair that isn't this horrible thing i got from someone moving simply bc i did not have a desk chair at all.

give me some good, comfortable desk chair recommendations, please!

I litteraly don't know how to draw Michael alive and espacially as a teenager. Last time i drew him like that bc i want to was kinda a year or two ago? And now i making for him a reference AND DON'T FUKING KNOW HOW HE GONNA LOOK ALIVE! 😭😭😭

The never-ending struggle of having an image in your head of a character thats just barely specific enough that you cant find a good picrew, but your motivation to draw is so shot that you cant even think of your ipad without feeling guilty

Do you ever just have so many OCs and you don't feel like explaining or drawing them but in the same moment you want people to know about your favorite scrimblos and the feeling in your mind is just something that sounds like this:

*LOUD WINDOWS 10 ERROR NOISES*

And that is why I never like coloring my drawings I prefer detailed and messy sketches with pencil and pen and such. So if I do colored one... I've tried.

How I feel sometimes

I should do more art studies but I don’t feel like doing art studies ;-;

I’m just like “Hm yes in order to be more efficient and draw more like I want to I need to get better at art.” And in order to do that I need to do art studies. But I don’t wanna.

I’m at this weird stage in my art where, yes, I’m pushing myself to do new things, but that has caused some issues. I’ll think of something I want to draw, and it used to just be, oh hey I want to draw this character. Easy. But now it’s, oh hey I want to draw these two characters doing X thing in X location. No longer easy. Now I have to do backgrounds and props any time I actually want to draw, and I didn’t used to do those things so now I’m struggling more.

The thing is we can identify the problem but not the solution to fix it
