Y’all really love to portray Asami as a sauve workaholic who forgets to eat, sleep, and even ignores Korra for a hot minute, but it’s canon that the woman has dropped, and will continue to drop, everything and anything to go help and accompany Korra.

The Legend of Korra: Ruins of the Empire Part Two cover revealed!
Toph, Suyin, and of course Kuvira are back joining Korra in the second part of the Ruins of the Empire trilogy! After Kuvira goes on trial in Part One (coming May 21st), it looks like things are heating up in the Earth Kingdom– take a look at the official description:
“What will it take to stop a war?
King Wu’s dreams of peacefully transitioning the Earth Kingdom into a democracy are in danger when Commander Guan throws his political hat in the ring, hoping to subvert the new system from the inside out. But playing fair was never part of his plan; Guan and Dr. Sheng are using terrifying new technology to cement Guan’s win! In a desperate attempt to save the Earth Kingdom from falling back into the dark days of conquest and empire, Korra and Kuvira convince an old friend to return and take the former commander on in the polls. But will it be enough?”
A lot of really interesting points here, and potentially spoilers for Part One? It sounds like Korra and Kuvira are working together… and who is the “old friend”?
We’ll have to wait until Ruins of the Empire Part Two hits shelves on October 8th to find out!

Do we know how tall Korra and Asami are??
That’s a good question!
I know that Korra was stated to be around 5’7” after a fan asked Bryan about Korra and Mako’s height (Mako is stated to be about 6’2” in the earlier books). At the NYCC 2014 panel, it was stated that Korra grew a bit taller during the three year gap, so that leads me to believe that she would probably be around 5’9”. You can see a comparison of her old and new height on the left-hand side:
I’m not entirely sure if the rest of the Krew grew between Book 3 and 4 (though I feel like Bolin is noticably taller, so they probably did?), but Asami seems to be afew inches taller than Korra in Book 4 (maybe around the 3”- 4”inch mark - perhaps a little more… It’s hard to gauge since the character heights aren’t always consistent in the show/posters, but she doesn’t seem to tower over Korra as much as she did in the first couple of books) so I’ve always thought her to be around 5’11” – 6’0” (and Mako only seems to be a couple of inches taller than Asami in Book 4, so I could still see him being about 6’2” or perhaps even 6’3”).
But I mean, this is all just loose speculation and it’s very possible that my estimations are a bit off. I’ve seen others chat about this stuff on different Avatar forums and quite a few people have come to a similar conclusion as me (here is one such thread from AvatarSpirit.net: https://forums.avatarspirit.net/index.php?topic=21967.75), but hey, it’s ultimately up to your own judgement! In the end, Korra and Asami’s height difference is SO HECKIN CUTE and I’m sure that Asami teases Korra about it whenever she gets the chance!
