Just A Glance
Part one
This is my first fic in a long time sorry if I'm rusty
Emerald green eyes met shining blue.
It was only a second but for Asami it felt like years decades even, those shining blue eyes opened a hole in her heart she never thought would need to be filled again.
"Will that be all today?" Pretty blue eyes said, handing Asami a coffee cup.
"Uh no that'll be all, thank you." Asami responded, handing her a 20 dollar bill not daring to look up and meet her gaze "Keep the change as a tip."
Days later Asami worked up the courage to head back to the little coffee shop half in hope of meeting those blue eyes and half in desperate need for some caffeine. Walking in she searched for her mystery girl only to see a flash of brown hair flying under the counter and someone else at the register. A little disappointed and confused she joined the semi-long line and started scanning the menu.
"Hi welcome to Avatar café what can a get you today?" the worker asked her constantly glancing down below the counter seeming like he was repressing a laugh.
" A large vanilla latte please" Asami started glancing at his name tag" Thank you Bolin" she responded trying to stealthily peak over the counter.
"Coming right up!" he exclaimed before turning his back and beginning her order.
A sudden gust of bravery took over Asami has she leaned against the counter, "do you hide under the counter for every customer or am I just special." She tried her best to contain her laughter as Korra slowly got up from the floor hitting her head during the process.
" Would you believe me if I said I was grabbing something?" Blue eyes met hers again slightly sheepish as she rubbed where she got hit.
"No but you can explain over text" Asami grinned happy she prepared and wrote her number down before coming as she slid the paper over the counter to her.
Blushing Pretty blue eyes took the paper and placed it in her pocket "I think I can do that"
Sadly their moment was ruined by Bolin handing her the coffee "here you go, one large vanilla Latte! Anything else I can get for you?"
Asami gratefully took her coffee from him relishing in the smell arising from the cup. " No that'll be all thank you." She responded grabbing her wallet from her purse.
"Don't worry this ones on the house" Pretty blue eyes interjected Bolin from telling her the price.
"Oh no that's fine! "Asami blushed meeting the blue eyes once again.
"I get a free drink once a shift and I'm not gonna use mine today it'll be fine. " She retorted leaving no room for an argument by simply starting the next persons order.
A/N: So this is just gonna be a little one-shot story type thing about Korra and Asami and how their relationship grows.

Eventually those shinning Blue eyes found a permanent home in Asami head. May it be while she was fixing a car or drawing up new blueprints not only those stupidly pretty eyes were at the forefront of her thoughts, but the ridiculously gorgeous women behind them as well. So when she got a text from a random number saying simply
hey it's Korra from the coffee shop, Asami nearly knocked over her drink. Korra that's her name, the girl she hasn't been able to get out of her head. The pretty blue eyes and charming crooked smile finally had a name, and the name was perfect, Korra fit the girl perfectly and Asami barely knew her yet.
How's your head? you hit it pretty hard when you were hiding from me. Asami responded wondering if she was coming off too strong and scaring the other girl off
I wasn't hiding just looking for a mirror. Korra responded blushing slightly earning herself a questioning glance from Bolin. Korra honestly didn't know why she was so nervous about texting this other girl, she's gotten many numbers from customers before and even had small things with some. But none of them succeeded in making Korra hide under the counter and blush profusely when someone orders a vanilla latte. Somehow this Asami girl made her do all that from two small interactions and it complexed her.
Well did you find one? Asami responded wanting to see how long she could keep this going. After a couple minutes without response Asami texted again. I don't bite, Unless you want me to.
Of course that's the moment Korra responded,
Sorry I was busy with a customer. Then after a couple moments. which were spent by Korra pleading for flirting tips from Bolin (who knew he sucked so much at flirting?) and then after looking up a Wiki-how on how to flirt. A simple yet scrutinized heavily text was sent, My shift ends in half a hour, wanna stop by and get to know each other?
Looking over the text Asami couldn't help a small victory dance from slipping out. She got asked on a date by the girl she couldn't sweep from her mind.
I would love to! was the exclamation mark too much? was she coming off too strong? wait there's no time for panicking she has half an hour to get ready for her date, Asami thought to herself. Korra was in no better shape than Asami.
"Bolin how do I do this!" she yelled across the counter, her mind suddenly going blank on all her previous experience.
" Well grab the scoop and put it the coffee bag-"
"No Bolin how do I do this dating thing"
"Oh I'm completely helpless with that."
A/N: I now I said this would be like little one-shots but I was wrong so, anyway hope you enjoy this! Also i believe Asami is superrrr smooth
