Kix - The Clone Wars (2008) - Aspec

Admittedly, I have written quite a few fanfics with Kix at the center of them. no i will not be linking my ao3 on this post this blog is separate for personal reasons No matter how many times I write him, he just screams aspec to me. Particularly in the way that he just doesn't care for romance or sex and doesn't ever bother with them or trying to figure out if he falls anywhere on any sort of spectrum.

Along those lines, if he ever did feel any sort of attraction to anyone, he just brushes it aside. He's like "ah, okay" and just continues about his day. Nobody ever questions him about it and he goes about his life doin' his own thing. He's living his best life (in regards to that... let's not get into the tragedy of his story right now, I do that enough in fics lol)

Are there more specific terms to define him? Yeah, probably. He just tells everyone "I'm fine as is" if the topic ever does actually arise and that's good enough for everyone

I'll be real with you guys, this one is partially just self-projection. Echo is one of my favorites and I've related to him a lot. It's just natural that he would then be aspec, too.

Mainly, he's aspec because I haven't figured out more specific for him. He'd certainly be able to figure it out himself, I just haven't spared the mental energy for a more specific headcanon.

Also I like the idea of him being aspec and Fives being bi. It's like "yeah neither of you are straight. neither of you are necessarily gay either. in opposite ways, though." Despite what people think there aren't too many things that make the domino twins different from each other and I like that this particular set of hcs reflects that, too

Anyway. Enjoy aspec Echo. He's a delight

My take on the aspec flag!

[ID: A flag with 6 horizontal stripes, divided in four sections by a white compass rose in the middle of the flag. Each section has 3 stripes that form a gradient that gets darker towards the middle of the flag. Clockwise, the sections are in red, green, blue, and purple hues. /End ID]

The 'main' aspec flag only includes the ace and aro spectrums, and I didn't find any inclusive flag I liked, so I made my own. This flag focuses on the diversity of the a-spectrum.

Symbolism:

None of the colors have meaning on their own. The dark purple and dark green are taken from the most used flag, just a little fun fact.

The colors are separated in different sections because the a-spectrum is vast and individuals within it can have wildly different experiences while still being under the same umbrella.

But they're also grouped in gradients, because multiple different 'colors', or individuals, can still belong in the same space and have similar experiences!

The white compass rose is a tribute to the most used flag; it still represents how different individuals feel or don't feel attraction.

However, I also kept it white because for some, white is the absence of hue or saturation, representing a lack of attraction, and for others, it's what you get when you combine every color, representing wholeness even without 'traditional' colors.
