Happy Birthday to Me :] I know it's been a while since I posted anything here, but I've been quite busy with my life as a student and as a member of a big family- it's been a lot. Mostly great things, but at the same time a hasty pace of life like this can be quite draining for me. Nonetheless, I'm very greatful for everything I have experienced this month as well as this past year. I couldn't thank enough for my family, my friends, my collegues and my teachers that have helped me, supported me and that have been there when times were a bit tough for me. It's a great pleasure to be a part of such community I found myself in and how positively it has impacted me. I can't wait to see what the next chapter of my life has got for me. And also- Happy Pride Month! It's been about 2 or 3 years since I came to the conclusion that I'm non-binary and since that moment, I'm quite happy with my label :] I'm also probably somewhere on the ace spectrum but I'm not pressuring myself to figure out what exactly is my place on that spectrum; that's why I didn't include any of the flags (although I do love the flag designs dearly) So, I hope that whoever is reading all this and is on the queer spectrum is celabrating or just enjoying this month happily and safely, whether with loved ones or just by themself. I love being genderfluid because everyday it's like opening up the treasure chest of identity and getting a fun little surprise

I love being genderfluid because my friends are all supportive and hearing them ask for my pronouns when they're unsure is genuinely so sweet after years of hearing how "awful it is to be queer" from my family

I love being genderfluid because my boyfriend calls me his girlfriend/partner/boyfriend no questions asked and it makes me feel all happy and giddy

I love being genderfluid because I love being me and I'm so glad to finally know more about who that is!

My favourite part of pride personally was definitely the Pikachu.

Onika is bisexual, mainly being attracted to men and women although he’d probably date someone who’s genderfluid or non-binary.

Aider is aroace and apagender. Aroace meaning aromantic asexual, which just means he doesn’t experience romantic or sexual attraction. Apagender is when someone doesn’t care about their gender. Aider specifically doesn’t care about what pronouns people use for it, though generally prefers he/it

Y’know what? Shoutout to all the people in the LGBTQIA+ community that can’t be out of the closet because they would quite literally die if they were. Shoutout to them.

this pride month can we please at least listen to intersex people. for example

people who claimed intersex people didn't want to be included were largely perisex bigots

stop using amab/afab to refer to or infer sex characteristics and life experiences

stop using transfeminine/transmasculine to infer someone's agab (and subsequently their sex characteristics and life experiences)

stop using tma/tme to mean "trans women"/"everyone else"

man and woman aren't opposites, gender isn't binary

male and female aren't opposites, sex isn't binary

"contradictory" labels aren't the death knell of queer people

intersex people aren't "sexually disordered" they are fucking intersex

"intersex" is not a thing you can transition to be

intersex people don't owe conformity

intersex people don't have to tell you shit about their bodies

the "cis kids being given hormones" a lot of people mention in their trans activism include a lot of intersex kids being medically abused

can we all understand this like really really quickly. is any of this very hard to wrap your head around ?
