Worker Drones are now also genetically mutated humans who’s DNA was designed to survive the Copper-9 conditions, being able to breathe the toxic air, as well as to have a heightened pain tolerance and faster healing process to be able to survive the mines. The workers survived the core collapse and celebrated normal humans leaving and stuff.
