Like, it all starts with Ran ranting to his brother about how overworked he was as they're in the meeting room where everyone else sat waiting for Mikey to show up. The first person to eavesdrop in their conversation is Takeomi, who ends up giving the older Haitani a whole lecture on how he wouldn’t need time-off since he was too much of lousy executive to even bother doing paperwork.
Then, Rindou would argue on how Takeomi had the easiest job of being an advisor for Bonten. One thing leads to another and all three of them end up arguing as Mochi and Kakucho spectates from afar with disappointed parent looks as the rest of Bonten chimes in with their own opinion on the topic as to who deserves time-off. I feel like Kokonoi would’ve argued that he has a hard time dealing with covering all the expenses Ran, Rindou, and Sanzu uses in Bonten (especially after a mission) as well as keeping up with how much money Sanzu wastes on drugs. Rindou’s argument would probably be that he always gets paired with either Sanzu or Ran, or both to do a dangerous mission, which always ends up leaving him severely injured or in the hospital (I can see Sanzu using him as a human shield as they are literally getting shot at lol). Sanzu would most likely argue that he works harder than anyone else, since he’s constantly executing traitors and keeping an eye on people who could potentially harm Bonten (he won’t admit that he secretly dumps most of his work on Takeomi, but that’s a different conversation to have). All amongst the arguing and empty threats between the five men, Sanzu suggests the idea to settle the debate with a nerf gun war. Meanwhile, Mikey had been listening in on the whole conversation ever since everyone started fighting. So like after they had the meeting of discussing reports and what nots, Mikey goes “since everyone thinks they deserve time off, the last one standing in the nerf war gets a week worth of paid time-off.”

Sanzu Haruchiyo was a scary man, leaving many trembling at the thought of crossing him. His own coworkers made sure to never really get on his bad side, seeing what he does to traitors of Bonten. Hell, he even looks scary. Standing at 6’2, cold almost empty blue eyes that only glint when he's killing those who stand in Mikey's way, and big diamond shaped scars that stretch when he smiles, sending shivers down the back of anyone who's unlucky enough to see his murderous grin.
Sanzu knows he’s intimidating, hell, he’s one of the most dangerous men in all of Japan. So he is sitting here now wondering why you’re insulting him, to his face knowing what he is capable of when he's mad. You may also be a Bonten executive but he’ll be damned if he let that stop him from shutting you up one way or another.
Sanzu and you never got along, that is common knowledge, not now, when you've been working in Bonten for almost a full year and definitely not when you two had first met. The Haitani’s had called it ‘married couple banter’, which made both you and Sanzu agree on two things: that you two would never even come close to being a couple, let alone married.
The second being your hatred for one another, as if you bonded over your perfect storm.
When you had first joined Bonten and climbed the ranks so quickly they had to do their own personal background check on you, finding out you were in the Brahamn gang, the enemy gang in their youth. Most of the executives had respected how you knew to get a mission sent by them done effectively and efficiently. Most if not all of the executives voted for having you as the fourth executive in the ranks. All of the executives, if not for Sanzu himself.
You haven't remembered a time when Sanzu didn't treat you with the utmost disrespect or mockery. You've always wondered why he made an enemy out of you since your first official day as a Bonten Executive, his tongue always as sharp as his glare. Ever since that day, Sanzu has been hellbent on making you miserable. This plan has always backfired on him, due to his underestimation of your resolve.
