me discussing with myself whether or not i should add elves into my book's fantasy world

"say no more." *immediately creates an elf queen that wears the most elegant and regal clothing ever known to mankind who has been into the worst kind of battles and is left with scars so big that are impossible to cover up so you can see them and she looks like a BOSS*
Introduction
I’ve been so worried about what to say in my intro that I still haven’t done it after nearly three months so I’m just going to smush my perfectionism down and finally say something!
My name is Anna and I’m 25. I’m a Leo and a Slytherin and my passions (aside from writing) are fashion, cooking, and the Real Housewives (I mean can you blame me tho). I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember but with a few breaks and am just now getting back into it after a hiatus. I have a few WIPs whose working titles are just keywords to help me remember which is which (am I killing this writing thing or what). Here’s a list: - Dust: post-apocolyptic-esque story of a girl who runs away from home to move across the country and ends up tangled up in some drama and turf wars in the desert - Magic: modern-day urban fantasy about a girl who inadvertently falls in with a witch and a warlock and realizes she’s less normal than she thought - Blue: a disease is ravaging a country and a group of friends set up a haven for victims - and one victim in particular throws them all for a loop - Lost: medieval-esque fantasy about a kingdom whose princess disappears and the girl they take to be her secret replacement - Cream: the age-old story of a girl who works her way up to high society - and then falls hard
I know these are so vague and definitely not at all the type of blurbs to make you want to pick up a book and read it, but there’s a lot more to them - and I'm going to share all of that with y’all soon!
Here are some book ideas that I gave up on or felt it wasn’t for me.

a girl who lives her old life behind moving to a new city yet her past manages to catch up to her and at the end she is arrested because of her dark past
a young boy shares a connection to spirit animals and dead people. he thinks he is the only one with this ability but then he finds out that the new girl in his school can do the same.
a kitsune, basically a person who can take a form of a fox and human, is stuck between choosing her love or her friends/village.
a girl who is a poet all the things she writes about come true
A girl who is bound to a tree tries to escape her the harsh reality of life and death (pollution etc…)
Young woman who has puppet magic (villain) is in search of an enchanted book/wand leading her to a magic academy where she meets the daughter her partner had taken away from and is stuck between finishing her evil plan or reuniting with her daughter.
These are all, give credit not required but encouraged and I hoped it inspired or encouraged some of you to write or get a new idea. If you want more just ask for one more privately as you wouldn’t want anyone else writing the same thing as you.

The Rick Riordan books are focused on ancient myths (Greek, Roman, Egyptian etc.) and the idea of demigods, the children of gods.
The books have hinted that other pantheons exist too!
Now, consider this.
Moana is a movie focused on the Polynesian pantheon of gods and has a demigod as one of the main characters.
Sooo....
What if Rick Riordan does a book about Polynesian mythology?
With Maui as one of the characters?
Plus, Disney owns both Moana and the Riordan books, so they CAN get away with a crossover!!!
