I’ve been thinking about knives a lot lately and in Mizumono Hannibal used a karambit knife on Will. Karambit knives are designed for gutting animals. The blade is on the inside of the curve so that it doesn’t damage the organs. Hannibal knew exactly how to cut Will so that he would survive.
